they took out the third jump in jonesys after only giving us a few days to hit it since they fixed it and i think it was done by someone with anti-newschooler motives. only skiers hit that jump and ther is no doubt in my mind that a snowboarder or group of snowboarders who are bitter because they are to pussy to hit the jump are to blame. what the fuck

are you serious? now my spring break is going to suck. Is there a better park in the area? I dont think snowbird's park is better. I bet alta is pretty nice when the get a good dump.
 
park city or park city is turning into park shity. I love skiing here and will always get my pass here but commme on!!! BALLS.
 
ur luckey u have any jumps, at my home mountain the cat operators have no idea what they are doing. the biggest jump that we have is like a 10 footer
 
you kidding man? alta is TRACKED by 10:30 already usualy. and their park consists of 2 8 foot rails/boxes a shotgun rail and a flatdown box...thats it....better luck going spending your time at places with REAL parks.

allrighty, I figure I may as well just jump in here and babble a bit.

I have had the last three days off, so let me go into work tomorrow and find out what the deal is before everyone jumps off a cliff yelling and screaming.

the jump was fixed 2 weeks ago, and has been perfect ever since. so if it was changed, and they got enough comments when it was thrown out as an idea to change it again, it was taken out for a reason.

let me find out, stop complaining, hold your horses, chill, etc.

Actually, Alta doesn't have a park.

They don't need to because the terrain is so sick.

And as far of tracked out, your thinking of the Bird, but if you know what the fuck you are doing, you can find stashes of the illest terrain in Utah.
 
Actually, Hennie works at Alta and skis there quite often. I think her would know. They said they weren't building a park this year, but they do have a few features scattered about.

And I would say that the 3rd hit in jonesys was like 50-60 but with lots of pop and a huge landing. You could take it big!

 
well the first generation of jump three was in the mid 60's, the second generation was in the upper 70's but not as poppy and if you landed farther down the landing you took the jump to 90+ feet but most of the time wouldn't have enough speed to hit the fourth by taking the 3rd far down the landing....
 
QUIT CRYIN EASTERNERS!!! daggumit! most of these guys are from the east and they left because they wanted better stuff to hit, now they demo it and its gone. shut-it.
 
shutup, he's not lucky, he probably moved specifically moved to park city to hit dope jumps and rails. That's not luck, that's deciding you want something for yourself and then making it happen
 
Jon better learn at least 2 new double flips on it.... and i pray that we get to hit it after. And yeah, stop bitching and saying "Come to the East..." I'm from INDIANA, and it's my first season here. When you take the iniative to pack up and move, then you can talk shit.
 
he's gonna learn a new double flip on it... dspin 7 to flatspin 5... should be pretty sick.. and yes, we do get to hit it when there done with their photoshoot and filming on it... they just want to fill in the gap right behind the jump, but then it should be money.
 
the new jump is probably the best jump i have ever seeeen. it is amazing.

patty loves PARK CITY MOUNTAIN RESORT! so it is obviously great
 
they say they arent going to change the lip at all but i dont believe it. that jump is soo big and i guarentee there will be some really dumb kids that dont know what they are doing thry and hit it with not nearly enought speed and just deck real hard.
 
first off who are you to tell us what to do?

second i love skiings powder more than just about anything. there just hasnt been any this year. when there is new snow you can find us skiing up on pinecone or jupiter but sorry im not a big fan of skiing groomers or moguls.
 
77 inches of snow at alta in the past two weeks. storming for the next week at least.

pc is not alta, but those storms certainly are not missing them, and if they are, sack up and shell out some dough for an alta or bird (or any BCC) ticket, this is why you live in utah, for these types of ridiculous storms and skiing. nothing pains me as an EC more than hearing people complain about their park when they just got like 4 feet of snow....weak.

 
look at the slide paths in the background of that pic. the avi danger is the worst its been in years right now. something like 8 deaths in the last 2 weeks. i dont know enough about the snow and even fucking cnn has hippie trecker dudes in lcc saying they arn't going on anything ove 35 degrees for a while. being 16 and pretty happy about life i think i can be pissed there isnt a cool jump to hit while the snow settles
 
i was talking about ripping inbounds, but if you want alta patrol lets you set up some semi-legit booters/lips as long as they flow with the terrain
 
oh dont get me wrong. i have had more pow days in the last week than i have all year. but this thread is not about pow. it is about park city changing the big jump line.
