Yep, according to their snow report, they have official moved opening day back until next wednesday November 21. Pretty gay. I would personally be happy with them opening with like one hill, instead of how they say they aren't opening until they have enough snow to "provide our guests the experience they have come to expect."

The only people that would be coming this early are pass holders anyway that just want to ride some shit like keystone and breck have set up.

or its a sign that early season is going to suck and thier is going to be much more snow later on in the season

I wasnt here last year, but wasn't the early season good and then got like no snow the rest of the year. Maybe this lack of snow now is a good sign.

last year early season sucked, then the rest of the season sucked. Except for like 3 weeks in feb/march. You can't judge a season on the early season or the last season. No one knows what'll happen, there no sense stressin. It'll come sooner or later

They moved the opening back two years ago and it was record snowfall year in the end.

Last year they opened on time and the season sucked.

If you looked at the weather trends up until last weekend for the previous 2-3 weeks, we have been in a pretty bad inversion. I'll explain. Out at Gorgoza ( our tubing park on I-80 just below parleys summit) the morning low was 18, allowing them to blow a large amount of snow. Gorgoza sits lower than the base of the resort. As you drove into town, the temp hit 20 just past kimball junction, 24 at the canyons, 28 driving into the city, 31 at the base of the resort, and 40 at the top of the eagle chairlift. If we could open, we would. we want to get to work and ride just as much as anyone. Saying it's gay though, that's just not right now. Weather conditions are still too warm to blow snow. They blew snow for 6 and a half hours sunday night I believe, and produced 6 acre feet of snow. We need 70 acre feet of snow to open Homerun, and there isn't any snow at the base of payday lift anyway. The hollow has been holding snow really well though because it is shaded most of the day. So as soon as the temps lower, which won't happen until a brief period wednesday and then again over the weekend, the snow guns will fire up as strong as they will push them.

Saying that, the long range forecast is calling for an above average december as far as precip goes, as well as february and a little of march i believe.

Y'all come back now, ya'hear.

No ski tour stop anymore.

We are looking at. actually, I don't have an updated events list anymore. It has walked off. I'll post on this when I get my events sheet back...

lol, that's what I said, but it will work out just fine. I have a meeting tomorrow and i'll get that list back along with the update on new events and the such.

haha thats sucks for people there, although i doubt i will be skiing until mid december so who am i to talk lol

No, it's not like they don't have enough snow, or only enough snow for one run.  They don't have any snow, at all.  I was up there today.  There were a couple 2 foot by 4 foot, half inch deep patches under the snow guns and that was it.

fucing snow in utah is shittier than last yuer os far it better pick up. snowbird says they have no diea when theyl open.. .... maybe t day. hpefu;lly. i wanna fucking ski YAYAYAYAYAYA

i can see pcmr from my house and it is sad indeed, completely brown.  I dont know if they blew snow last night but it really doesnt matter cuz there is NONE here nor is there any expected

They were blowing snow from late last night, the early am hours of the night until now. They still might be blowing up higher, i'm not sure I can't see that part of the hill from my office.
