Park City ANSWERS...

allrighty y'all, I said I would deliver today so here are the goods.

Payday- For those of you here that ride if you remember all the gravel in the snow while payday was open, there was no snow in any of those 3 payday parks, with a 6-8 inch base being the norm. and that 6-8 inch base would get worn away very quickly especially when it was warm. which has happened alot this year. :( There is also an issue with the exit of the second payday park and the entrance of Kings Crown. everyone would straightline from the park to crown and that whole area is a trail merge area and there were many a letter sent to the resort about "those little punks" flying out of the park. So there we get into the whole speed thing again. but ya.

Kings Crown- The new feature is the moto jump, it's been buffed and rebuffed and tweaked since it was opened, and there are still things that can be done to make it better but it's a fun little toy to play around on. As for new features, Yes there will be more but no I don't have a specific timeframe for them. Play with the moto jump as much as you can because If we need snow for something or decide to change a feature that will most likely be where the change will be made a few weeks from now. If the weather moves to warmer climates then we won't have the snow to play with and new features take the backseat to keeping the existing features "snowy".

Joneseys- Ahhh Joneseys, the center of so much hatred right now. It is being reshaped for athletes coming through before the world superpipe. The third jump was mowed over and all that snow is being pushed together with the 4th jump and there will be a large step up jump. the inrun for it is long and steep so speed won't be an issue anymore. The second jump as well will get re-worked before we open it, just layering the landing a bit. Here goes the shameless plug, for more updates I try to update the blog every couple weeks or as needed. http://parkcity.typepad.com

Pick n Shovel- well, it's there for the beginners, and it is actually pretty fun for the beginner types. The superpipe is still there as well. hasn't moved.

As far as tickets are concerned, if you don't have a fast tracks pass, DONT CUT INTO THE FAST TRACKS LINE!!! Those people pay lots of money to have the ability to get into that line, and if you don't have that pass, technically you are stealing from the resort but it's just not kosher guys please don't do it. It's a busy weekend, everyone wants to get to the lift but presidents day is always a crowded time and you just have to deal with it. Don't do things that make us have to take your pass, we are out here to have fun not come down on everyone. Although if you sit on a jump, especially in Joneseys and especially on a weekend, not only will you hear it from one of the park crew guys (and depending on how much abuse we've taken already that day it might not be the nicest get off the jump please) and you will for sure hear it from the riders sessioning the jump. I think hockey stops were the weapon of choice for people last weekend to get the message across.

Thanks for understanding, thanks for reading, just go out and have fun damnit!

Good response from someone actually connected to the resort.

That other thread got really out of hand and in my opinion didn't really show any negative image of Park City but instead the fact everyone jumped on board one or two incidents.

I skied there a lot last year and never really had too much confrontation with employees....though I do remember some cute girl from California working the double that accessed Pick loving to pull passes

yeh word.

you should just have the payday rail park go most of the way down to kings, just have the same area roped off almost the whole way down, it would be a good way to get the rest of the rails up that arent set up yet

Yo Adrenaline..... you are the man. And what days to do work, or what days are you in the park? I'm pretty stoked for the new hit in Jonesys and anything else that happens.

Thanks for the update.

welp it looks like hitting rails on pipe cleaners has caught up to you johnathon...the explosion was just delayed!

i heard the new jonesy's hit is like 120 feet but when i saw it it looked more like 90feet... any idea how big it really is?

and yea, like the other guy said, it would be awesome if you guys were able to set more rails up.. if you do anything with the snow from the moto jump.. just use it to set up more rails, thats my opinion anyway...

I usually work park sunday-thursday days, drive cats wednesday and thursday nights... so ya that's when i'm up on the hill.

KZAaaa. if the initial first pitch of payday wasn't death for all the noobs we could play with it more but we can't set anything up on those pitches that stuff wasn't set up on before. how's school treating ya?

some stupid gaper was standing in the lanind of the moto jump last sunday, and i landed on him. But yeah the first lip needs to kick you a little higher so you can actually step all the way up.

umm.... it kicks me up plenty high. i have no problems getting up there. just go pretty straight from the channel

it doesnt really matter, but it would be sick to cut down all the down rail/box jumps by like 2 feet, some are like ride on

cant wait to see the new changes! my only request is that more rails would be set up. there really arent that many rails, mostly just boxes

yo is that booter in jonesy's going to be open to the public? because that would be sick...i went and scoped it as they were building it today and that thing looks like perfection!
