what should i tell my parents to convince them to let me go to a camp next summer.

I pitty the fool who don't use 1-800 Collect.

i can say this. it's not worth working your ass off to go to camp for a week. take that same 2 grand and move to whistler for the summer. you will learn twice as much and have way more fun. if your parents are willing to shell out the cash then go for it.

anyways, 2 grand gets you the public park- nothing compared to CoC.

however, if you really can live there all summer off that money..
