Parents are ruining my life. (Rant)

Now you probaly think I am like 12 but im 17. Here is my situation, if you have any good suggestions i would like to here them. I really want to go back to the my old school which i left in 7th grade to start me senior year and graduate. I dont have a license, a job and have to rely on my parents to do anything. which is my fault. if i was to go back i would have to live with my mom's parents. my dad who is not exactly smart, thinks it would be a burden on them. i have had almost 0 friends since i moved to utah from new york in 02. i want to go back to NY to have a chance at some friends before i go to college. both of my parents want me to wait until the spring to get my license then talk about it. if i go to ny now , i could get my license before xmas establish my residance get a job and get ready to start school next year. some of you problay know that life sucks when you dont have 0 friends. i have hated utah since i moved here, that is almost 4 years. I am so close to just taking my car and just leaving. life is not meant to be lived with 0 friends.

why do you not have any friends? Try to make some not everyone won't like you, go out talk to people who cares if one of them doesn't like you or soem ignore you just fucking get out there you can't be shy you have to overcome that fear i was just like you in 6th grade all my elementary school was in different places i knew no one...but i joined sports and went to things and i met some great kids...i met kids that if it meant it would back me up if it meant risking their lives you really never know who you're going to meet if you don't try

before you do anything just take some changes and try really hard to make friends.

it would almost be a waste if you leave without even trying to make friends. but you might have already tried and just hate everyone at your school or something.

my advice is just try to make some friends before you do anything and if that doesn't work then move or whatever

Listen dude, no offense but you kind of come across as a 12yr old. Despite what it may seem like right now at your age, friends are not everything. I honestly can't believe you would pack up everything, leave your parents, and go live by yourself in NY just to make some friends? That doesn't even make any sense, something is going on here. In the long run, it doesnt matter who your friends are in high school, because most likely you will never see them again anyway. Most high school friends drift apart after college, jobs, girlfriends/boyfriends, etc.

I just can't understand this whole "high school friend" thing. Maybe its because I'm 23, but I would never put friends before my family. Trust your parents, it may not seem like it, but they are people just like you and I, except they have way more knowledge and experience with this sort of thing.
 
I went to public school in 8th grade that sucked, 9th, that sucked, 10th sucked then i finished my junior year in homeschooling. I lived in ny for 13 years, i dont see what the big deal is if i want to go back and hang out with my old friends.I would be living with my grandparents not by myself. and i also want to live in NY after I graduate. Its not just to get some friends

Dude have you ever have thought of trying to make friends? You have been there for 4 years or so and have no friends? Either you are a complete douche bag, or you just suck at life. Just wait for college and start over again.
 
im not a douch bag, i do kind of suck at life, but mainley I have just had extremley bad luck at finding friends.
 
yea i just realized that now after i actually read his post. anyways, go to university/college else where. there will be a lot of people in the same boat not knowing anyone. everyone is looking for a friend so its not really that hard.
 
You are on NS because you are a skier or snow rider of some sort correct??? Why on gods green earth would you want to move from Utah to New York??? If you really are a snow rider and love the sport you wouldn't even consider moving. Make friends with the mountains, shit skiing without friends is better than not skiing and having friends. People come and go in your life, but snow in Utah will always be there. Friends rip you off, break your stuff, get you in trouble they are totally overrated. Skiing will never steal from you, won't ever make fun of you and won't ever sleep with your girl or drink your last beer. Be smart stay at home and ski your ever living ass off in Utah, Iceface and Gore don't even compare to the rockies.
 
If u ski in the park i dont understand this problem, Its almost impossible to not meet new people if you hang out in the park..
 
Your problem seems to have more to do with you then your situation. Moving to NY isn't going to solve your problems because your problem revolves around the fact that YOU have failed to make friends. Moving back to NY for a year of faded commraderie (which may not even exists except for in your delusional, lonely mind) is completely irrational, even under the most flexible analysis.

I'd consider listening to XxXScratch's advice and attempting to improve your life where you're at instead of running back to NY and putting yourself in an even worse situation. 8th grade isn't senior year. Your "friends" are different and in all realiy probably don't give a fuck about you anymore. Additionally, you should have moved on in UT, but you haven't.

You're living in the past cheif and trying to run back to NY to fix it.
