Parents and weed

so i crashed my car the other day(not weed related) but my dad was looking for a sd card to take pics of the totalled car and found one with pics of me and my friends ripping a couple j's in the car. i smoke a lot and my dad always asks me if i do and i say no obv and he always says if he finds out im lying im pretty much fucked. he said he'll talk to me about it later today and i was wondering if i should be truthful with them and tell them i smoke and dont think its a bad thing or if i should just tell them im never gunna do it again(iv done that in the past). either way im still smoking in the future. my dads ok with weed he just doesnt really want me smoking it cause of school and other shit but my moms pretty against it. just looking for the best way to approach this

any feedback would be appreciated
 
Honesty will work in your favor. Just tell him truth. You'll probably still be "fucked" but it will lead to a much better outcome in the long term.
 
Promise your dad you'll just blaze on the weekends and you won't start selling bags and will still get into a good college.

Well now you learned that it's fucking stupid to take pictures of yourself doing illegal things. Oh look at us, we're so fucking cool smoking weeds in the car. You probably posted it on the webz to just so everyone knows how cool you are.

I man marijuana is a lot more chill in the eyes of the law these days but what's the point? We got held up at the border going into canada once for an extra long time because my buddies girlfriend through she was so fucking cool with all her pics of her smoking joints, blunts, bowls, etc. Omg im so artsy!

Idk, just think in the future. Take extra precautions, even if you don't feel their necessary. Then if something happens like this, you'll be in good shape.

If the car smells like weed he's probably known you were smoking in there and just pissed that you're lying to him. You probably bake it out with all the windows up so that everyone on instagram can see how hella faded you guys are getting.

Just be straight up with him. Chances are, he probably knows what's up, and just wanted you to be honest, but you thought you were soooooo damn sneaky.

nah mane im just really into film and photography if you looke at some of my other threads and was documenting some moments with some friends. no pics were uploaded to the gram but there was some serious thought of the username ganjamastah666

Idk, I was hating even though I'm not really hating. Everyone does dumb stuff, but in there future, while you're at your parents, it might not be the best idea to take a bunch of pics of that kind of stuff on your phone etc. There really isn't a point imo. I mean if you want to whatever, but sometimes holding the blunt out of the frame is the way to go. Maybe it won't be as "cool" but if it's really about you and your friends it won't matter.

Also if you're smoking in the car, keep the windows at least cracked and afterwards drive a bit with the windows down to clear it out. If you're dabbling in shenanigans on the home front, build a spoof that doesn't suck.
 
just got done talking to my parents and got widened out pretty bad. i was honest and am glad that i was but idk
 
when my parents busted me in high school i made it clear that i do it some and probably wont stop but i make sure i separate it from other aspects of my life like school and ensure it doesn't effect that. worked out alright for me
 
Don't deny it, especially when he has visible proof, I don't know how you're parents are but I know for my parents it worked out better, way better, when I told them that I smoked before ever getting caught, well I got caught sneaking out which was actually not weed related but it was girl related and fornication related, my mom talked to me for like an hour when I got home and asked me if I smoked and had sex and I told the truth, I never got in trouble, I still smoke (not a lot) and they know it, they just said to never get behind the wheel or be driven by someone while under the influence. Which is totally fine with me.

Summary: If you're gonna smoke and you don't wanna get fucked with a cactus by your parents, be truthful. Or just don't smoke:/
 
Most parents are usually like this man. I wouldn't let it stress you out. It'll blow over dude! But dude blazing at like 16 or whatever is bad for you dude. Gave me bad panic attacks, Wait a few years.
 
my mom once caught me having a smoke (she drove by) and i just said it was my first time and i got peer-preasured into doing it. i still got in a little shit but it was fine. and this was when i was 12
 
My parents flipped out when they caught me and sent me to treatment. Because I went to treatment which my insurance paid for, I can no longer purchase private insurance because of "pre-existing conditions" or whatever the fuck. Luckily I get insurance covered through my job.

Funny how that shit works out. Hope all your parents are more chill, and if they do want you to go through some program try to reason with them because all this shit ruins your fucking life.

My fiancee went to the hospital back in the day because she was too drunk. They do it "for your own good", but when you go to the hospital because you were too fucked up on drugs or drinking and your insurance covers it, you will likely get denied in the future if you ever have to purchase insurance privately. She just applied for private disability insurance before she signs her doctor contract, and we're still waiting to see if she's even eligible for her insurance because they will definitely see that hospital visit for being too drunk when she was in college. I'll post back if she does indeed get denied because of it

Insurance industry is pretty fucked, so I guess thank god for obamacare
 
I've been there many times too my friend. It is better to tell them what they want to hear and just keep doing you. As long as you don't let it fuck with you education, keep on toking.

Your Dad probably just doesn't want you getting into the kind of trouble that could go on your permanent record and there you go recording yourself. Chances are he is more worried about you getting in trouble than anything else. If you were so careless with him how can he trust you not to make the same mistake with a cop that can give you a DUI that will jack your insurance rates for the rest of your life. He is not going to believe that you will follow all the rules but you should try to be more careful.

a few weeks ago i ditched a class and my parents fliped. they told me all the time if i ditch they will never let me do any thing until school ends, however when they found out i figured i was caught and might as well tell them what i did. they were still pissed and only took my car for a week. my friend wasnt honest and he still cant drive.

sooo... moral of the story, just be honest...

When I was in high school and had friends over my mom would ask if we were smoking weed. I would always tell her we were shooting up heroin or smoking meth. And not once did we get caught smoking weed.
