Shit, this is scary. This kid I know who's pretty damn good at skiing was doing a backflip, which he's done millions of times, on his tramp, and somehow he set the rotation wrong or something, cause he broke his neck and got paralyzed. It's so scary and sad to think about never being able to move again, and I'm probably gonna have even worse mental blocks now than I had before.

not to be insensitive, but i bet his legs gave out on him right off the mat and he went straight to his head, its happened to me a couple times, a tip, learn to flop in the air so u land on ur back or ass or somthin

but about the kid, that sucks, he may walk again in the future tho

ok, these sympathy for strangers threads are getting a little out of hand, none of u deeply care for this guy, if u saw him on the street ud say 'o, a cripple, thats sad' and go on with your lives, u wont remember this guy when u wake up in the morning, its just a way to make urself seem like a good person to say 'im sorry, my sympathies', im an asshole, but come on, i dont see how a bunch of people on a website are going to make anyone feel better by saying theyre sorry, maybe cause i havnt dealt with it but really i dont care, accidents happen, fuckin deal with it

I didn't post this so that you would feel sorry for him. I feel sorry for him cause I know him, but I didn't expect anyone on here to. I posted it cause it's a scary thing that we are all at high risk for since we're skiers.

Ok, this Febuary, i was suppost to get spinal surgury to fuse my spinal liothisis, upon hering i would probley never ski again, and that they would be fusing oveer 6 vertabray together, i booked it to whistler, to have one good season, and i would get the problem dealt with when i need to, so now, my L4 HAs sepearted from my back, im fucked, i may never ski again, on top of that im getting ACL surgury in 6 days,

Aug 22nd

I just saw the Orthopdic surguron, my back really really, is fucked, chances are i won't be skiing again until 2005, if ever again, my family doctor recommeneds that i get my knee done, then go home to ontario, and get back surgury, because in that order, id be the shortest waiting time,

the funny fucked up part is if i wait 4 weeks between surgury i will quailify for a second round of unemployment, trust me, id' give anything in order to be able to live a normal life, pain free,

today i had the talk with my doctor about medical Marajuana, she also gave me a percription for Perks, and demeral, these are both heavy drugs that i don't want any part of so i brought up the dope debate, i have an address in vancouver........

EI, still won't pay me, i won't see any of that money until mid September, between now and then i have under $300 to live on in whislter, I think im flying home at this point, i reallly don't know what s going to go down........ Scary shit,

getting paralyzed is scary shit. it almost happened to me two seasons ago and now I worry about it all the time.
