Unless it isn't possible, or you're planning on doing a whole lot of research on skiing since the beginning(and I don't mean the mid 90s, AKA the beginnings of modern freeskiing), I would really recommend a paper topic that has NOTHING to do with skiing, or action sports in general. There aren't enough decent academic sources to get you through it. Trust me, I've tried. It got me a mark of 70% and the following statement from my prof: 'I applaud you for trying to write about skiing, and action sports in general. An interesting read and a decent paper, but your paper suffers because of lack of sources. Your interest in this topic is obvious, as shown by the personal interview conducted as research. Topic selection, however, was your downfall'
