hey, im headed out there next winter, my dad wants to take us on a little vacation, anyone here been there or know what the newschool scene is like?

if you rip there drop me a line and well give me some tips on where to ride when im there...

..i wanna go to whistler but my dad wants to ski there for some reason, is it good?

hey i know panorama, its a pretty sweet mountain and they just opened some mad terrain there, when i was there the park was pretty shitty but i think they were trying to make it better, anyways back to the terrain there's lots of it and is the base of a major heli ski outfit. its worth the trip and has hottubs everywhere filled with hot chicks

there is a bit of a scene there they have a few talented jibbers some good rails i think not sure about the other stuff though taynton bowl looks good too

 
haha I rember going into the hottubs when I was like 5 and getting my hair frozen and I had icicles all over me... hehe

I heard the same....sweet big mountain terrain, lots of snow, but a shitty park.

Fernie is a better option. The mountain is about as sick as they come and the park is pretty good, 3 big tables, the left side of them usually ranges from 45ft-60ft and the right side is usually around 20-30ft. The rails are all box rails thanks to a gay insurance company, but they do some unique stuff with them and are pretty fun. The scene is really good too..though it's mostly snowboarders, they're all stoked on skiing.

 
I havn't been for about three years and only say what has been said. There is some sweet terrain, open bowls, glades, chutes and of course the hot tubs. there was only about three table tops when I was there.

Sweet terrain, but bad parks. And the snow can be on and off there. Its either really good, or really bad!

Yeah, just go and build a hit in some of there sick terrain... also they are trying to imrove on there park... but nothing dramitic is going to happen

SICK MOUNTAIN - NO SNOW!!! More than half of the time you're skiing on rocks. I got my skis all fucked up because of the barespots, but I heard it wasn't bad in 2002. TRust me, most of the time there is no snow! Not to mention the park blows...Toby chair spits black oil shit on you, it's dirty!

 
all of you say that the park sucked, but on average that was 3 years ago... so now its prolly gonna me really wild, and plus intrawest is wact when it comes to park building, they are sick! and i think they own it...

 
panorama gets tonnes of snow. You must have skied there the 2000/2001 season, and in that case almost everywhere was shit unless you had cash for a heli or a cat.
