Searchbared and didn't find anything. Spotted this on the front of the B&H magazine i just got in the mail. I'm not a video camera guy just found it really interesting.

Maybe I missed it but looking at the specs it seems like it only shoots 1080p/60p which would be weird. I honestly don't know why anyone would want a consumer camera that shoots 3D (I would barely call this prosumer). I only find 3d cool once in a while, then my eyes start to hurt. Looks just like a shitty handycam with a weird 3d lens on the front anyways. If you want to do 3d right, get two cameras and build a legit rig like this:

Im interested to see what it produces but I would never buy/recommend one and I am not expecting much.

Should have titled this consumer not prosumer. As i said i don't know all that much about video cameras. This just caught my eye. A cool idea even if it doesn't work all that well.
3-D RED for the win

Thats consumer level to me.
1/4" ccd 3d camera? Riiiigghhhtt. That has to look crisp and sharp. 3d is already somewhat blurry. Funny too how archaic technology is becoming a fad. 3d cinema was introduced only 20 years after 16mm with sound. To emphasize that more, most of your parents our younger then 3d cinema technology.

1080p60? riiiiggghhhhttttt. Im sure that works well at 24 mb/s. Funny 720p60 is 24 mb/s and 1080p60 is 24 mb/s. Saw another cheap camera out with this. Cant imagine it looks good for 1080p60. For reference DVC Pro HD codec rolls at 100 mb/s and puts out 720p60 and 1080p30 and 24 at that. Hell, the DVC Pro SD codec for the DVX recording in sd to mini dv tapes rolls at 25 mb/s. Its not like the sensors on these p2 (this goes for XD cams too) cameras cant handle it. They actually start with a 1080p60 picture and "down res" from there. Well actually the HVX starts at a little over 2k, but thats a totally different topic. Its just about the data rate issues why 1080p60 hasnt been done yet except on these new cameras. I just really do not understand how a 1/4" ccd sensor 24 mb/s camera can make 1080p60 even look respectable.
Sorry for that 60p rant, but I just cant imagine 3d on that sensor and data rate being anywhere near crisp.
