Panasonic HDC-TM300... any competitors?

I'm looking at getting my hands on a TM300, I was just wondering if there are any other camcorders I should consider before I go ahead and splash the cash. Had a look at the Canon HF S10 but the one thing I felt it was really missing was a viewfinder, I really didn't like that.
 
thats a pretty far price range gap

but id say the hv30 and hv40 are around the same range to compete with the HDC

id highly reccomend both of those cameras
 
The HV series have a real damn good price to performance ratio, and I agree, they're up there. I've owned an HV20, it has been a fantastic camera but I wanna move away from tape now.
 
wow, i went through this same dilemma like a week ago. i got the hdc tm300. its good. it has and amazing steady shot, so even if your zoomed in it works great
