Panasonic HDC-700 Thoughts?

I'm looking to expand my video production capabilities by upgrading to a better camera (the one I have now is a Kodak Zx1, not exactly a beastly production machine.) I've done my research and concluded that the Panasonic HDC-TM700k is excellent for what I will be using it for (documentary production/skiing/DH longboarding filming.)

Why this model:
-1080 60fps *progressive* (I understand the downfalls of such a massive deluge of data in this format and will shoot mostly in 24p)
-3CMOS
-Leica Dicomar
-a zoom lens (standard, but I sadly do not have one now)
-decent low-light
-fantastic OIS
-flash/built-in memory (HDDs need to go away, moving parts break)
-as close to pro quality video as a non-pro camcorder can get

Question is, does anyone have experience with this model & can you offer insights if so? Also recommend places one might find a deal on it, I am aware that Amazon has several open-box for around 675 but I'm trying to get it lower than that.

Bump. can someone answer me the question that since the 60p records 28mb/s will you need a sd card that can record that fast? i think a class 6s maximum is 20mb/s?

The tech specs here: http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/HDCHS700-MUL.PDF
...on page 27 show that SD and/or SDHC/SDXC can be used. However, it is NOT advisable to use regular SD because of data transfer issues. SDHC and SDXC are recommended. Class 6 is about right, I believe class 4 can be used as well but I would stick with 6. Keep in mind that it transfers at 28Mbps (28 megabits per second, not 28 megabytes per second.) Info on SD classification here:

I think I will primarily shoot in 24p unless I anticipate a scene will be slowed. Terabyte drives have gotten so cheap that storage isn't really an issue, but processing that much data requires a bad motherfucker of an editing machine which I don't really have.

3CMOS is a great immage filter, it will give you awesome quality. If you want something higer-end look into something wih 3CCD. You will find that of VXs.
