Panasonic DVX100 and skiing

Has anybody had the chance to shoot with this camera in 24p mode. Like with skiing footage. Every review I see they say this camera is sick and almost looks like 16mm, but no body really has any footage from like skiing or winter shots. Just wondering if anyone has tryed it or has seen footage ffrom it of skiing.

 
ya its off the chain, the quality is way better than the canon gl2 and vx2100. It looks a lot more like film than any digital camera out there.

There will be a fair amount of DVX100 footie in the new PBP flick, and honnestly, with the 24p mode and all the cine gama setings cranked its indistiguishable from film... not exagerating the slightest bit. Fuck, mine even got run over by a ford explorer and it still works fine... dope camera!!!!!! If you got the bucks go for it!

Got to see some footage from it at the Masters in Mammoth. By far the best digital footage ever. Looks very much like film. Go buy now.

i used the panasonic on 24p for half this winter, i talked to DeChesere about it in vail, and what levin said is definately true. Once you tweak the settings for the light that day, ect...its as close to 16mm your ever gonna get...keeps my budget down REAL low

How the hell did you run your camera over with an Explorer?

that great it didnt break, but i wont be making my jetta wagon test the camera durability anytime soon..it really didnt shit the bed after that?

Nah it works fine, I just gotta jab a pocket knife into the back of it to eject the tape cause the button got mashed, but that was it... Still shoots the same hi quality ish!

yeah, i have all my equipment on warranty/homeowners insurance...god forbid i ever run it over with my car

i saw dave with one of those one time...i even touched it...he told me not to break it...so i hit it with my car...what a jewel

guess she doesn't know hers comes with free refills
 
in the 3-4000 range, depending on if u find a good deal or not
