I agree with the last paragraph. Foreign policy is not Sarah Palin's strong suit.  I just thought it was unfair for people to say she clearly doesn't CARE about other countries because she hasn't been there.
Anyway, with the mother thing, the point is that once you become a mother, you have more responsibilities. You have children to support and not just yourself. Same with fathers.  It is far more difficult to pack up your belongings after college and travel the world, with a baby on your hip and another one on the way. That was the point that I was making.
I didn't say that mothers couldn't travel. I said it makes it far more difficult.  And we were talking about sarah palin, she is a mother. If we were talking about a man, I'd say father.
Ex. My brother and his group of friends.  Many of my brothers friends have been, or are currently on trips overseas, backpacking around, and trying to see as much of the world as possible before perhaps coming back and getting full time jobs or what have you.  My brother, had a child at a young age, and chose to spend his money on a down payment for a house, and spend his time working to support his family/being a father.
I'm not saying you can't do both. Just that one has limited freedoms with a large family.
