Painting skis

has anyone painted their skis? i think most of the new graphics this year suck, want to do something different, but wondering if it will come out ok.... post pictures if you've done it!
 
tons of people have done it just do it well cause you payed a lot for those skis so make it look good
 
was thinking about doing the invaders, everybody is gonna have them this year, and they really aren't that good looking......anybody have any pics yet?
 
really, no matter what you do, the shit's gonna chip off like a champ, so make it simple, so you can do it mulitple times throughout the season.
 
i have used acrylic paint, and a clear coat. shit chipped off. spray paint chips off too, but its a hell of a lot easier to spray your skis a few times than it is to paint that shit with a brush.

yeah, thats what i mean by spraypainting something so you can do it over, that shit got really chipped up by the end of the season.
 
get paint markers if you want to spend a lot of time. if not make a stencil on the computer and spraypaint two or three colors. any more is a bitch
 
i painted my 4frnts. just tape over what you dont want to paint with masking tape and give it a few coats of spray paint, and then a coat or two of clear to prevent chipping. Dont forget to mask your edges so you dont get any paint on your edges or your base.
