Painting skis what?!?

check it. FINALLY got my seasons skis together. i mounted the 183s up this morning, and painted the 177s up yesterday night. whatdya think? MOS DEF

i used $1.29 spary paint. the total cost of the project was about 8 bucks. can of white, can of primer, can of clear, can of somethin i didnt use. i had the gold/tan layin around. itll prolly chip and shit, but i dont give. they are beaters to replace a pair of truely destroyed 1260s. and they were free.

huh? i had 177s last season, but i broke um. these are my replacements. i liked the skis, but they were too small and soft for bigger stuff. they are perfect jib

im currently painting a pair of old chronics, and they are lookin sick, anyone who bashes on painting skis oviously has never done it. its a fun process and it feels sweet when you are done. not to mention you have sick one of a kind graphics, and little kids will come up to you and ask you what kind of ski you have and you can make up any bogus name you wish.

true, but there doesn't seem to be any way to make it last. I would hate to paint new skis, although I guess you could always take the bindings off, strip the paint, and paint a new design every week if you wanted to.

Wow that's a really good paint job, shinny gold paint on white looks so much better than what I thought. Btw, does the paint come off easily after a few times on the slopes? or does it generally stay? and does it vary from different types of paint or brand?

Thats sick. I painted a pair of old publics black and taped the words public enemy and some sweet designs on it so it was black with the original paint showing through saying Public Enemy. Then put some red designs (K2 etc.) on them, Painting old skis is pretty sweet!
