can someone list the steps to prep a ski for painting, and is it also possible to make a single tip ski into a twin tip w/o too much damage?

thanks matt

clean them, dont worry too much, they will get beat to shit so it doesnt matter how good you paint them.

well i havent climbed everest but i have fucked a married chick.

if you want to twip tip your skis heat the tails up and then stick them between two boards, porch, and bend them down for a while. Best to use a wood stove. Dont heat them too much or they will delaminate after a little. Practice on some really old skis first. I have heard boiling water may work too, but i never tried.

it would be sick if you cut off the tip in the back, made them straight, and painted them white and wrote k2 all the way down them...then youd be cool

look under Resources, and then Articles... both those questions have been answered.

2 steps - easy

1-Sand surface with triple nought grade sandpaper (try to use an orbital sander - you can do it by hand but ouch).

2-apply paint - USE AUTOMOTIVE PAINT!!!! yes, auto paint - glossy and waether resistant. And flexible - duh. Use 2 coats and sand between 1 and 2.
