Painting my skis

I was planning on painting my skis. I figured id spray paint the base like white or gray. Then, on the top, I would put this:http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a37/michaelianblack2/ohiorep.jpg

I have it out on paper in the size I want it. I'll put Ohio on the top left ski, and rep on the top right. I figured I would trace the image onto wax paper, then trace the wax paper onto my ski. This is all after I spray paint the base. Then I'd just color it in with paint marker. Finally, I will put a gloss finish on. Anyone got any suggestions for this? And don't tell me how lame my graphic is, cause that'd just be kind of mean.
 
i don't think painting would work, it would probably get washed off in water and, after all, snow is water. I suggest making it into a sticker.
 
its hard to make it work. i painted my old scratches and did everything i could to try and make the paint stay (sanding, 2 cans of clear) and it still came of reallllll easy. so good luck
 
I have a good idea, why dont you spend the hours of painting your skis on doing something useful with your life. I know people like to have cool looking skis, but no one cares as much as you, you are very homo
 
dude stfu when i cant ski i wana do ski-related stuff, and painting skis is included. this kid wants to paint his skis, that prolly more constructive then your entire life.
 
Ok, i recently did this and it looked sick, untill i rode them once. I did the sanding, paint, clear and still no beans. If you paint your skis use car paint it will work, i know people who have used it and clear over it and it works great. but not spray paint, and not the plastic paint either.

Just do a simple st8 throwie.

i colored in my public enemys with sharpie like 2 years ago and it still is on the ski. sharpie dosent wash off like paint but it does fade alittle bit

How do you know what my style is? and thanks for the suggestion on the block letters. i will probably redo it though. i can kind of agree on the lettering.
