Painting fulltilt !?!?

Hey guys I am pretty much bored of my red and white full tilt and i think i could paint them ! for the tongue i know it possible with RIT but for the rest of the boots how should i paint it ? spray paint ? would it stay ?

( Btw srry for my bad english i suck at english :/)

i spray painted my tele boots a couple years ago and the paint stayed on surprisingly well. i used like outdoor plastic patio furniture specific paint. if you lightly sandpaper the boots before you paint them the paint will stay a lot better

hmmm If you took out the liner couldn't you just dunk the whole boot in RIT?

although i guess it could fuck up the little leather piece near the toe

The only part of the boot that will actually take the dye is the tongues. They are a different type/density of plastic. I painted the rest of my boots and so far its holding up. As already said, sanding and layers are key. Be sure to use primer and a clearcoat too. And primer. Primer is important

u can also dye the back parts and im sure the rest of the boot someone on here dyed there tom wallisch hot doggers black

the shiny plastic (tounge and back bit) doesnt take rit dye my friend did his and only the late matte bid took the dye

Hey guy so i start the job now i have 2 primer layer apply and 2black spray paint layer. but now i need to know such kind of clearcoat should i take. i know i need a outdoor one (well i don't think indoor will work) but wath brand should i but ?

I have a pair of painted black hot doggers, and they lose a bit of paint every time I ride them :(

I bought them used and they were already painted. Sweet boots though.

trust me i know i dye lax sticks all season long notice i said dye the RED part BLACK black=darker than red

sorry for the double post but what ever you do dont paint them they will chip and look like shit and here are the dyed hot doggers i was talking about and that the rest of the boot can take dye as long as you leave it in there long

i talked to a guy that works at a shop that reps full tilts and he said when you dye the boot it changes the structure of the plastic and can make the book uncomfortable and break idk if that happened to the dyed ones above but just wanted to help +k please

hahaha and my boots have made it into another thread. It's a shame I didn't see this thread before he painted his to give some advice. The RIT dye method worked out really well. Only minor fading around the heels and toes.

lol yea i just wantedto show him it was the best idea lol but im thinking about doing this to my hot doggers this summer maybe

wow they are freaking awesome ! well i finish the paintjob ( gonna take picture tonight) but i was thinking redoing it this summer but i will dye them for sure!!!

Stoping asking for karma, the first 2 threads I've checked you have a bad response then you ask for karma. It'll come with quality posts.

think they look better dyed, more sleek and smooth, nice job though want to make the drop kicks purple but think im gona wait till they more beat up before i do it

you can easily dye full tilt boots. I did my friends drops kicks like a month ago and turned em purple. The easiest way I've found, out of all my dying batches I've done on various things, is use a clean five gallon bucket when dealing with really big objects...like boots. Just heat a bunch of pots of water....get the right below boiling...pour them all in the bucket...add the dye...mix it...then put the object in and time it so you know how long to do the other one. Message me if you have any questions
