painting a frames

is there a way???? ive seen some pics where some pros have some custom paint jobs on em and i wanted to do that on mine but don't wanna fuck it up or obviously its not worth it then... has anyone tried it or know how to do it?

make sure you take the lense out, i mean its damn obvious but ive seen worse

ever wonder if iliterate people get the full effect of alphabet soup???

remove the lense, clean the surface you're gonna paint thoroughly, and use an airbrush if you can to do a few coats, then try to find a clear coat to put on so the paint doesnt crack or chip and has a glossy pro look

yeah, and take out the foam and rubber cement it back in. be careful! if you can't do that, use masking tape to completly cover the foam. and put clearcoat on after

I wouldnt paint on them, since the plastic on it is made to be slick, the paint would remove easily even with a clear coat...my friends did try..

those costom paint jobs are done by oakley by a special process were the print is melted onto the goggle this causes every pair rto be a little different. like the camo goggles out this year...no 2 pairs are the same

Fuck you...the first thing i said to niel Turner after i broke my collarbone... and he said i couldnt get hurt

no its possible to do em on ur own, u just have to know how. Cspeer1080 has a pair and theyre insane looking. A bunch of pros told him they were sick lookin when we were in Hood. But i dont know what he did em wit.

My friend has white A-Frames, with an american flag hologram on the lenses! He gets offers for them everytime he goes skiing! Most in excess of 200 dollars!

They may be command thems at the factory...

(pro's privileges...)but you can sand thems,and after,find a F*cking good air brush painter...

or buy it an astronomical prize at the factory(if they let you do it!!!)

Ya meng, its totally possible. I've done it a couple times.

Take out your lenses, and strap. Peel the foam off slowly and use a sharp exacto knife to slowly cut away at it. Don't pull to hard or you'll rip the foam.

Now that you have your goggles naked, use your exacto knife to slowly peel off all the paint on them. This part may take a while. Just chip off the paint.

Once there is nothing left but the rubbery goggles, take out a nice can of spray paint. I'd recomend some kind of paint that will not chip when you flex them. I can't remember the name, but go to a hobby store and they'll tell you. I picked up a nice deep red w/ gold flake.

Once that is dry, do a couple coats of enamel. You can get it in a spray can. While the first coat is sorta sticky, do the second coat. This will protect your paint job.

Get some rubber cement, not plastic cement, and lightly glue the foam back on.

Pop the lenses back in and you're good to go.

if you want to do a cheap job, just buy some enamel paint, like the stuff that comes with your model car, and paint away. It won't look as good, but it won't take as long.

i drew all over mine with a dry erase marker, it comes off with klenex though

i just did mine wit the stuff u use on model cars and it looks pretty sick but well see how it holds up in the cold and after wredkin a couple times

step one: take on the lense

step two:cover all foam with masking tape

step three: use light sand paper and rough up the google.

step four: use an airbrush and paint on the desgin you want.

step five: gloss the goggles over till they are as smooth as a babies bottom.

step five: use a latex or rubber spray and wet the google down, so the outside is protected from the most nastiest of crashes.

step six: replace the lense and take off the masking tape.

step seven: take nude photos of yourself wearing your googles only and post them on NS. (for girls only)
