I'm sure some of you out there paintball and some of you have to own a Tippma 98 custom. Those of you that do, what kind of upgrades have you put on it. I am also trying to find a new barrel, something that i can snipe with. Does anyone have the flatline or have you heard any good things about it. Thanks guys. Oh ya, and paintball has to be the greatest team sport.

 
yeah I used to be way into paitballing in middle school. Pretty damn good. Me and my bud dominated with cheap guns, I had a vm-68 with expansion chamber and 18' teardrop, it is a fucking rad barrel. And my Brah had just an old spyder with a wicked looking barrel, i am not sure if they make it any more, but it is called the Boa Consealer, It was like a 14' barrel, and had a fat silencer on the end. It looked scary. But performance wise go with the 18', it has got hella range, accuracy, and is way more quiet then the Boa. But why the fuck would you want to sniper. It is all about charging hadcore, and fucking killing everyone.You would be suprised how many people can't hit a running target. Anyway I was saying how me and my Brah were so good, i remember during freshman year I entered a 2 man Amature tourny, and we thought there were gonna be kids like us playing, uh.........no. Everyone there were 22-40 with hella expensive guns, I mean eveyone had autocockers, minimags, and angels. We were so timid going into it. But we fucked them up, we took 2nd in the tourny. But then paintballing was just too expensive. I have no clue what guns are like or cost anymore, but that is my two cents, just get a nice log ass barrel, they are dead silent.

You dont need to do much to make a tip98 sweet. Flatlines are kind of a waste. They arent super accurate and when you get a break you are fucked. Even tho the balls go farther than normal they wont break at that range anyhow. Go buy a 12' Custom Products barrel. I dont know other than that theres nothing much you need to do.

Thanks, ya i've heard the same about the flatline, be nice if they made a barrel that shot that far and worked, it'd change the way you play the game. I've done the running and killing and there are some people out there who can't hit someone running but i play with some awesome guys who can hit people running from a distance. 16' seems to be the all around best length for me. we play some mean paintball and i think this will work. thanks for the info

 
Theres no need for a 16' barrel, unless you really need something to aim from. 12' is plenty.

any longer than 14in just puts drag on the ball and makes it drop faster

i have an impulse with a bunch of upgrades, and my 14in barrel is the perfect size

I've been into paintball for a few years. not so much recently. I worked at whistler paintball this summer. And whoever has the impulse is right, 14 inch is key. And don't bother with the flatline get yourself a dye boomstick 14' and you'll be stoked.

By the way I used to have an impulse too. fuckin loved that thing.

Get a handfull of straws and tiny paint balls. Load 3 or four tiny paint balls in wach straw and climb and hide in a tree

When the opposition comes by just blow like whore, it'll be like a schrapnel paint ball attack.

schlong, have u ever played paintball? Your plan isn't to realistic. I have a spyder 2 in 1 and an em1 they are both good guns, the 2 in 1 is a great gun for the price. My friend has a snyper et up on his 98 with the flat line and all. he has never said one way or the other if it really helps out.

Paintball is awesome. You guys got any funny stories about days at the field. I love listenig to kids talk crap then come to the field and get lit up. Oh well, keep throwing paint.

 
Some douche bag came to the field this summer with two guns. A bruzer and a model 98. he decided he was going to play with both guns. The dumb fuck ended up running so slow cuz all shit was heavy as hell (two fully loaded hoppers of paint ofcourse, unlimited funds) and our course is really tight so both hoppers got ripped off and lost all his paint and got lit up.

Next funny story, I was playing with a few buddies from school. At the whistler field there is this one tree fort setup, but the planks in teh walls are staggered with spaces. My friend was facing out guarding that teams flag (alone by the way) and I came from behind not knowing he was gonna be there until I caught a glance. This tree fort is too skinny to move around in so whatever position you are in when yoou get in is where you stay. I proceeded to put my barrel directly onto his ass and fire about 5-10 rounds directly to the sphinctor.

flatlines CAN be good, but most of the time they arn't worth it. Balls tend to do wierd things at range with them and the spin makes them more likley to bounce. Still they are quite fun.

no hopper can feed 30 bps, the fastest is 20bps, and no gun can handle that fast. guns can only go about 17-18bps

fuck, i haven't gone for like 2 years, i wish paintball was cheaper. the field at the beach kicks ass - anyone who's been there knows - my fav. area is the dunes... fuckin' we had like 100 people in the dunes, 30 in the fort in the middle and the rest along the boarder (the dunes is a big open area of sand dunes and shit)...

good times.

No hopper or gun that you know of that are in the magazines...but this is a customized gun with a perssure fed tube of balls from a backpack. I dont care if you think its real or not, its real...

shlongantaor, you can make a paintball bazooka out of a patatoe cannon. just build one and have the tube the size of those plastic dixie cups, then fill the cup up with old paintballs you find around the field and use some paper towels as a wad and blamo. Me and my bud did this, when we knew there were some younger kids playing in the woods down the road, so we took our cannon, hid in the woods a little kid walked by like 10 ft from us, we loaded it and hit the button, knocked the kid over. it was funny
