Paintball or airsoft?...

so i play both but i am trying to pick one to stay with and them both have there pros and cons
paintballprosmore ppl play, more facilities, bigger marketcons too much money, the gas
airsoftproscan play at my house, doesn't hurt as much, guns look more real, dont need gas (unless for a gas gun)consnot many facilities not a whole lot of people play, people dont go by the rules

what do you guys think?
 
when i look at it the way you said it, i guess airsoft makes sense, but ive really only invested in paintball, i guess i just like it more, and it can be pretty economical if you know the secrets
 
i vote paintball

i dont do it as often as i airsoft, but thats because airsoft is cheaper, paintball is a lot more fun
 
I would have to say paintball... i use to be super into it but i haven't played for like 6 years. I miss it a lot, but I straight up ran out of money. So if you have a decent amount of money and have already invested in it then play paintball.
 
5 years ago when i was in 8th and 9th grade i spent a fuuuuck load on airsoft becuase a buunch of my buddies were into it and played a lot.. i dont want to come of as a retard but i did spend nearly $2,500 on airsoft

i've played both and hands down paintball is much more fun. Just don't become obsessed with it and you won't waste all your money!
 
If you are gunna play in the woods, ehh its 50/50. But get into the tournament paintball scene. It is extremely athletic, fast paced, and its a blast. Man up and play paintball.
 
bypaintball for sure, airsoft gets boring after 2 weeks, and you can do some drive by's on people and their houses/ cars that you don't like and paintball is fun as hell playing
 
Paintball hands down. If you know where to buy your stuff, and a good field it's not that expensive. I mean I play with my school's club, and just by joining something like a team that's got connections I've saved a ton of money. Like this weekend I'm playing down at West Point's spring game and our entire team got our registration waived and we get a discount on paint too. Also, most fields have free air/CO2 if you pay to play there so gas isn't that expensive if you think about it.
Also somewhat of a claim, I just got a legit sponsorship for my speedball team.
 
Paintball. hands down.
More of a community, more fun, more athletic, and the people who play airsoft are usually weird, creepy war junkies. At least in paintball you'll get some people you relate to, and can have fun with.
 
Paintball is 1000x better than airsoft. Airsoft is super lame unless you have super nice guns, paintball is fun no matter what.
 
just beacuse you said this stick with airsoft. paintball is not so much in the woods any more, its a legitmate sport. so if your into army stuff and playing soldier stick with airsoft
 
yeah. paintball seems like it'd be more worthwhile. Plus if you're good they deal more pain to oponents

Paintball is cooler, bigger fields, cooler guns, more intense, hurts more, more popular, etc.
Airsoft is so much fucking cheaper though. Airsoft is really cool if you can find a legit field, in LA there are a couple indoor places where they do rad CQB games and everyone takes it like super seriously and they all have full swat gear getups and shit. There are also some outdoor fields where they allow like 650FPS on sniper rifles or something but they have to switch to a sidearm if within 100 feet of you.
Actually I currently have an airsoft gun in pieces because i took it apart to put a weaker spring in (was shooting at 400fps, most local fields have a 350fps limit), and then couldn't figure out how to get it back together. I need to work on that. Im working on rebuilding my autococker right now though because my old favorite PB field reopened after being closed for like 4 or 5 years.
 
Wait, I don't get how you 'play' airsoft. Paintball you can clearly see that you've been shot. How do you lose in airsoft?
 
There's a saying I like, "Paintballers can't play airsoft"
People that play airsoft just use the honor system, but at least where I play, everyone is pretty up on it. I've seen people call others on their own team out for example when they get shot and don't leave the field. Its actually funny because I see more people "wipe" in paintball than I see getting shot in airsoft and not calling themselves out.
 
paintball is fun because your actually trying not to get hit because it hurts airsoft is just to screw around with your friends at your house

I would have to say paintball, Airsoft is fun but it tends to get boring, especially because its much less popular.
Its not that much more expensive either, before i got sponsored i made friends with my local field owner and agreed to ref half the day for a case of paint and free admission/air. Worked out pretty well for me, and got me a spot on

But you do have to make a significant initial investment. id suggest checking out pbnation.com for used guns and gear.
 
last summer i was into paintball HUGE. i fucking slayed to be honest (/claim). i played on both a woodsball and a speedball team and had a course 5 minutes away from my house. i was a front man/ attacker in both woodsball and speedball, and i had a blast..but it was just too damn expensive, specifically buying tourney quality paint. i was forced to choose between skiing and paintball and obviously i choose skiing. but god i miss paintball.

paintball. i'd play one game of paintball over 10 games of airsoft any day. also, my brother went to the world series of paintball with his team. /claim.
 
paintball is mad fun. but airsoft is mad cheaper.
im always a fan of spending the few extra bucks on the goodstuff, so

I love paintball I never go tho but airsoft is usally alot funner when it just randomly starts by you shooting your friend and he shoots back
 
paintball. way more fun there is no chance of bleeding in airsoft unless you trip and scrape your knee
