Many people do not believe that paintball is a sport but many people are stupid. Paintball includes all of the necessary aspects of a sport. You have to run think strategize and be skilled to come out on top. Paintball is not for pussies. it is a real sport and it is a lot harder than other sports such as tennis. I am talking about playing on a field not out in the woods. Field and tournament ball is so much faster and harder than many other "sports so i believe paintball shouild be considered a real sport.

THe adrenaline rush is amazing, i have never gotten a rush like that playing football. By the way running is not really a sport it is a hobby but if it was a sport then paintball would still be better than running

paintball is so fun. my good friend is friends with a store owner thats expensive around here, so we get in for like 5 bucks w/all day air, and get paint a little bit off. the adrenilin rush you get is amazing too, its so fun off the break running your ass off up to the 40 or 50.

I have been shot by a paintball gun many upon many times, even from close range (bunkered) and I would much rather get shot by a paintball gun that take a good hit in a football game. And honestly how hard is paintball? The most unathletic kids in my school play paintball cause they cant play any other sports. All you do its point your gun and shoot. Sure there is strategy but there is just as much strategy when you are playing a game like Counter Strike. IM not saying that paintball is not a sport, but to say its on the same playing feild as a game like football is rediculous.

 
you have no idea how much running there is in paintball. those unathletic kids probably play woodsball. go check out the speedball- its much different.

thats the only downside. but if you find a place that you can get cheap paint, and you dont shoot alot, (or have friends that are friends with the store owners :)), then its really not that bad, but definatly not a plus to the sport.

1080 a speedball round lasts like what 45 seconds to like 2 minutes max. And if it lasts long its mostly likely cause no one is moving. There is hardly as much running in paintball as there is in anyother sport that requires running except for maybe sprinters.

How am I wrong? What are we even arguing. Ill go with paintball being a sport on the basis that golf and curling is a sport. But playing a game of tennis at a professional level is way more physically demanding then a proffesional game of Speedball.

 
My friend is sponsored so he gets free paint. Hes going to tournaments this summer. Kind of funny sport though. I think woodsball is the shit, but speedsball is kinda lamish.

In football the ball and players reach top speeds at like twenty miles per hour. In paintball shits flying at you 300 feet per second. Hell guys playing football dont hit you that speed. yeah, it's kinda boarderline, cause it's more of a fun game. i mean, playing hopscotch isn't a sport, or jumprope, but i guess paintball work. and it's hella fun to play. this one time, i was behind a barrier, and i was the last guy on our team and the other team had 6, and i decided to make a final stand, so i got up, and just ran frantically shooting, and in doing so, i realized it's hard to hit people on the move, even from close range. so i def got that game figured out. just keep running side to side, and take out the people that are just hiding behind shit.

A paintball that is what a few ounces that is traveling more then 300fps, and a 200 pound line backer coming at you full sprint. I think everyone here would be a little more afraid of that 'pussy' lineman that a soft, paintfilled ball.
