Paint. for mac

im sure at sometime theres been a topic on this, or there should be, but i searched...

is there any free ms paintesque program for mac? something i can download..
 
i know i've looked soo much for them..... but i finally found one that kinda works, cept its all vectors, when i get home i'll post the name.
 
theres a program that comes pre installed on macs thats pretty much just like paint. It like the Color Utility or something. I dont remember and since my Mac is broken I can't go find it.
 
ohh yes there is also the good old apple works, whihc i think ever comp has...or use to...it is the exact same thign as ms paint in it. if you don't have it i am sure you can DL it somewhere.

people just dont seem to get it. no its not called photoshop, its not called a program that requires you to spend a bunch of money or illegally download it. its not something that requires you to be computer savvy or spend a lot of time, even just waiting for the damn thing to load. yes ive used photoshop before, but im not , nor am I aspiring to be a digital artist. i just want to take a picture and open it, put some writing or a spray paint picture on it and be done. sorry for the rant i just dont like when people dont understand the glory of paint. and i love my mac, it just pisses me off that they couldnt give us a stupid little program like that, seriously how hard could it be to make. well i guess some of you say macs come with appleworks but i got my powerbook a year ago and really dont think it did, unless i deleted it accidentally which = sadface
 
that is more for graphic design, for layouts and pre press operations. If you want editing get photoshop. Hands donw the best puic editing program for mac/windowews.
