So ive been riding tecnica agent for a season now and thats never been a problem until now... ive begun to press and butter quite alot latly. Problem is IT HURTS LIKE HELL. i tried to take a break from skiing in about a month but that didn't work.

So my question is: Anybody else had this problem? would it help if i tried another boot or something else?

yea he still said thought that he took a month off... It could be that the foam packed out over the year or he didn't store them properly over the summer?

I thought that shin splints were actually micro stress fractures in the bone, where as shin bang is the cause of irritation or bruising to the bone, ligaments or muscles in and around the shin.

shin splits can be any combination of:

-Irritated and swollen muscles, often caused by overuse.

-Stress fractures, which are tiny, hairline breaks in the lower leg bones.

-Overpronation or ''flat feet" -- when the impact of a step causes the arch of your foot to collapse, stretching the muscles and tendons.

i would defintely tighten your boots up constantly. there's a serious difference in the fit of a boot when you first put it on in the morning and even a few runs into the day. maybe you should get some booster straps, they are one way to get rid of shin bang. you could also put some foam in front of your shin.
