the few shots that i saw of him in Nine Knights looked really sick, he has quite a distinctive style.

Is he the man to push uk skiing to the next level and get us competing on the big stage, i'd love to see him, jamie cameron and joe morrell go to north america and give the competition circuit a real crack there, they've got the talent just not the exposure

anyone got any suggestions for what their future holds? brits?
 
i know who paddy graham is, but i dunno those other dudes. didn't you guys lose the revolutionary war??
 
i think paddy is siick, and definetly a righteous dude. but the person i can most easilly see taking our country to the main stage is james woods, his style is definetly unique and super smooth. i think he was robbed at the brits too, his trick was better than joe murrels.
 
From what I've seen Paddy is sick for sure, but Jamie Cameron? The older guy? I've only seen stills, but he looks frankly a bit average.

I'm sure that Paddy could get spots in comps like the US Open, ie big but not the Xgames or invite only, I guess he's happy in Europe at the moment.
 
Don't worry, the world tour next year will give all the Non-North American riders to break onto the world new school scene, if they deserve it. Qualifiers are late this year, hopefully, all over the world (Euro, NZ, included!!). All the riders who have been unable to travel to NA to compete will be given their chance on a world stage.

Paddy went to the US Open last year and a bunch of other American comps in February. He likes sharks and drinking Calanda.
 
Jamie Cameron isn't really so much of a park rider any more- I think he's more into big mtn these days. Check out maurice (ns username) pics for evidence of his ripping.
 
Does he compete in Big Mountain though? The thread creator thought that he should go to America and do the comp circuit, I've not seen him ski, but from the stills I've seen I doubt he would do very well. Don't want to hate on the guy, because I don't know him and he probably skis better than me, but he would seem to be more of a magazine editor than a pro skier.

Only shot of him in the 'maurice' profile was of the double back that was in Falline, cool, but not exactly cutting edge.
 
Jamie cameron is a sick freerider and does bigger drops than most people would dream of. He doesnt do so much park anymore just sticks in the backcountry. He doesnt do full seasons anymore just trips. And rosbif that double back may not have been 'cutting edge' but it was his first day on skis that season and the second time he'd ever tried it.
 
Also yeah paddy is sick. So is James woods and joe murrell and joe tyler. Any of them could take brits into World comps in the future.

No, I wasn't sure that was him, 'cause the skier was tagged as 'pikey'. Not saying he doesn't rip, just that he's unlikely to set the comp scene on fire in the U.S.!
 
Yea for sure Paddy is such a sick skier who is definately underrated and needs more european and NA exposure! I haven't heard any1 mention Murray Buchan so far tho and he is sick and just 16 i think the same age as James Woods who is also killin it! Joe Murrel for sure is dope to there is no doubt that these four are the best uk riders who need to get out there and compete with the world best!
 
Euro style vs american style is like chalk and cheese,

Brittish style i'd say was even more different to euro too, less spin to win, more spin slow mo'fo!

But the brits hold there own with rails i'd reckon, just not spin to win jump comps.

Although riding with joe murrell all year, and knowing he hasnt been on skis too long, to be trying double bio 14's is sick.
 
from what i hear he had barely skied on natural snow till last year in Val, my bro skied a fair amount with him last season, his improvment was amazing, from seeing him in christmas to seeing him in easter
 
haha, you just totally contradicted yourself there (no spin to win, and then double bio 14's haha).

as far as rails go, i bet they are good at it becuause of all the indoor/dry ski slopes, although i wonder how they compare with the EC crews

Yea man ive got ski city! its ok ... obviously the quality of the riders isnt as good as in the US or europe but still a sick movie i think. Haven't seen the journal but reckon it would be better than ski city coz its their 2nd movie like! Check out regime change productions too got riders like paddy and murray init
 
Jamie Lawson is the british rider killing it at the moment.. he's so hot right now, and soon to be riding for prada outerwear!

paddys a great skiier, he just need the exposure. I've skiied with him once..hes an awsome guy and really deserves to start winning some comps on the bigger circuit. Hes (in my opinion) the best british pro, and could definatly start placing in the american comps

to be Andy Longley. his steezze is out of control . Prada outerwear? well Andy is sponsored by Ralph Lauren and models for them in New York and Paris when he's not skiing.
 
No wayy Jamie Lawsons steeze is off the meat rack.. andy longley f..king sucks so what if he models for ralph lauren in his spare time, lawson is not only modeling for prada but he is one of the best car drifters in the world his car owns Jon's anyday!
 
Your so wrong. How could you say that Andy Longley sucks? I saw him throwing rodeos

onto the rails the other night. by the looks of it he had his eyes closed the whole time + Jamie Lawson likes to claim to much, I saw him land one of those 450 pretzil things the other day and do some massive claim. totally ruined it for me.... and Andy is going to be featured in the Fall winter Ralph Lauren catwalk shows in London
 
plus i'm sure that Prada only have like 2 shows this fall, Andy will get waaaay more exposure with Ralph Lorren. I heard that Andy has an oldskool Mustang that will out drift Jamie ANYDAY!
 
andy's mustang is ok but putting spinners on it is a little gay whereas jamies Skyline is DOPEE, Yeh prada may only have two shoots this fall but jamie is soo god damn hot right now he is doing the summer shoots aswell! much more exposure, he's taking newschool to the mainstream.

also i saw a clip of jamie riding last season.. he does a hand plant 5 tail over chads gap WTF!?!?!?
 
Ya I heard about this from some of the dudes that were riding with him that day, apparently he was going to do a straight air and *obviously* didn't have the leg strength to hold on in the compression before the jump and got kicked back. when he hit the kicker he shit himself and tried to put his hand down and ended up doing some screwy hand drag thing, when he got in the air his hand hit his ski so it looked like a tail grab but actually it was a total screw up and somehow landed it.. + I heard ski patrol arested him for hitting chads cos you can't do it any more.

When andy hit chads he was doing the steezyest cork 7 tails, I heard he wants to go back next season to do a Kangaroo over it and theres no way he would get arrested, ski patrol would never catch him.

nah I dont have any and don't want to see that again cos it was way ugly.. and ... Andy Longley is not a ginger, it says on his Storm Model Profile that he's 5'10 Athletic Build with Strawberry Blonde hair" Hes soo f.king hot right now
 
jamie got arrested for hittin chads not because its illegal but because he's so damn ghetto right now. all the pros are into gettin arrested nowadays. personally i called publicity stunt but it works, the guy rides for prada.

also andy's cork 7 was ok, but doesnt it show natural talent that jamie managed to recover from the compression running into chads? maybe he's born with it, maybe its maybelline (he just picked up maybelline as a skin conditioning sponsor)

and yeh andy does plan to hit up a kangaroo over chads, but jamie wants to throw down a switch double cork 10, that s***t will be soo dope, i heard its his safety trick at his home hill so that session could blow up!
 
Nah thats not true what are you on about, he got arrested because he couldnt get away from the ski patrol. I heard that when Andy did his cork 7 the patrol turned up and he bought them off to avoid being arrested. he was rolling with 2 gs in his pocket and gave 1000 dollars to each of the patrolers that turned up. Aparently that was how much he won in the big air comp the day before.

Andy has the true "natrual" talent cmon who flukes landing a handrag cork 5 and claims the shit out of it + Longley can do switch double corks in his sleep.
 
so andy likes to flash the cash.. who cares if he carries atleast 2gs everytime he goes skiing, jamie just carries his card

anyway i hear jamie has a new plan for next season, he wants to put a rail on the landing of pyramids gap so he can try gap handplant 4's onto a rail. knowing jamie i can see him doing a pretzyl 4 out!!
 
umm that would be ligit for sure - but he would def. get arrested again - the Alta patrol will be all over the set up before he even gets one hit in. That's if that piece of shit skyline of his makes it up the canyon, I don't think he even has snow tires on it, thats why it drifts so well - I heard it was just a micra with a fancy body kit he ordered from Japan anyway
 
i dont know about andy trying the rodeo, i hear he gets sketched out on gaps over 80 feet (onto rails that is) where as jamie doesnt get phased by shit, he once jumped the grand canyon with a 270 onto a shotgun rail.
