Sorta self explanatory. Where are the best mounatins and PA and are there any colleges near them. I've looked out west but there aren't any good schools out there so i'm tryin the east coast. there doesnt have to be amazing snow but a park and some backcountry would be nice

well not to sure about the whole BC thing happening in PA...best bet would go somewhere close to VT...as far as PA...Penn State Main is good...or CMU, or Pitt...depending on your SAT's and grades...Blue Knob, Hidden Valley, and Seven Springs are all close

East Stroudsburg is right new camelback, i've never been, but its in the poconos, so all the pocono resorts will be within reasonable distance

Lehigh, Kutztown, and a couple other good colleges in the Allentown area. Close to both Bear Creek and Blue Mt, the stuff like cammel, boulder nd jack are less than an hour away.

kings, wilkes, misericordia, psu-wb in the wilkes-barre area. they have a bunch of resorts an hour or less than an hour away.

pretty much any of the philly schools also, bear creek is a little under an hour and blue is about an hour and a half from philly, both doable for day trips.

schools out west aren't good? what? university of colorado.. 1 hr from great skiing.. skiing in Pa is complete shit.. dont go to school here for thes kiing.. and dont go to school for the skiing period.. they dont mix too well.. ur not gonna go everyday if ur are hopin for that.. but PSU is somewhat close to skiing, and any school in philly is 1 hr from bear creek.

Ok, Tussey is 10 minutes from Penn State University Park. A season pass is $360.00 for 500 vertical feet, and 4 whole trails. They have a pipe dragon, but refuse to use it. Their rail set-up is rediculously small. They can't build a table to save their lives. If you race, which I doubt if you are on this site, then it's a good mountain with a good race program. Besides that it's a pretty lame mountain, but I still work there and ski there. Basically don't get your hopes up if you come to Penn State UP.

No good schools on the WC huh? Thats a pretty foolish thing to say. CU is well ranked as is DU, CO scool of mines, and a TON of schools in CA.

Go to a 2 yr college in the mountains somewhere and get great grades and ski a ton, then transfer wherever after 2 yrs.

If you seriously think PA is the way to go and you can get into a primo school, go to Carnegie Mellon and ski the springs or something.

Don't move to wilkes barre or scranton. They are both shitholes.

open up, we're coming inside. What's it feel like to know you're gonna die?

If your moving to PA to go to a good school, CMU and U Penn are your two best picks...both of which have park sking within an hour's drive. If you have the option to go to a good school AND have good sking, upstate NY is your best best. Cornell, Syracuse, Colgate, Hobart, all have huge amounts of snow and the sking is only 1/2 hour away, at most. I went to Syracuse and skied at Laberador Mtn 20mins away. The park there is SICK. Pipe is groomed every day.

Um, dont go to PA for college. If you are that smart go to dartmouth in new hampshire. Its Ivy League and like a half hour from killy and shit.
