P2P!!

when i download limewire or any other peer to peer file sharing network, it wont let me connect after i open it up. is this because i have a firewall, i also have a wireless router which i hear can cause problems. Advice needed Please!!

you need to do something called "port forwarding". My router calls it "Special Applications". If you go through all the options you should find one that has a "trigger port", and then it asks for a public port.

If you go to the p2p networks website theyll tell you which ones to open.

And i whouldnt use both a software and hardware (router) firewall. I'd just use hardware.
