what bindings are best?

i have them all and don't know which one to mount on my dumont.

i have the blue p18s, rossi axial 120s and axial2 140 tis.

which do you ride?

P18 heel with the 140 toe -assuming they have vertical release, if not then the 12 will have it - ... most desirable setup providing you require the DIN range, but I assume you do as you own them already.

I do, only when brands are the same though. I wouldn't mix salomon with Look/Rossi for instance.

yeah if so i would only mix look and rossi. but then i have two non-comleplete bindings and one complete =)

I would avoid mixing bindings. just because shops will think your an idiot, and probbly won't mount them for you, companies won't back up the bindings if say they break, or you break.

Which one you go for all depends on how much you weight, how hard your charge, etc etc.

i'd go for teh p 18's love mine adn yea don't mix and match unless you kno the shop guys they won't mount them

i'm only riding park with 10-11 so all three bindings would fit for me.

my only fear is that the p18 will not release because of having no vertikal release thats the point. if it had one i would already have mounted these. i've heard that p18 are this strong that if you crash they probably won't release. i don't know if that's right so i started this thread. as already said i don't wanna mix them up because i have two incomplete bindings then...

help me out and tell me what you guys think about it.

If you set your DIN appropriately they'll release when you need them too. The vertical toe release really isn't much of an issue. The only time you stress the toe stright up is on backseat landings which you'll either have the strength to recover (in which case no vertical release is good), or you'll fall back and your knees will bend the right way.

Lol.. I had an older pair of line chronics that I got from a friend... Salomon 912's on one ski, and Tyrolia Mojos on the other.. it was pretty fucking funny, no lie.

comparing p18's and 120s is like comparing apples and flagpoles man..

You are better to look at the appropriate binding for your ability, size etc. They are all great bindings, obviously the 18's are going to be far more durable, but not the best option if you are 5'5 and 120lb

well actually i'm not 5'5 and 120lbs. all i wanted to know is which binding's better. with my din range i could ride all three of these.

the p18 weighs as much as a sack of bricks. i didnt read the whole post but unless you are charging huge lines all day there is no need for the 18. the axials are heavy too for a 12 din binding. i think the sth 16 is one of the best bindings out there right now for doing everything.

well ik that man. but i got my p18s at home and will not buy new sth16 with a din range from 9-16 when i can have bindings with din from 8-18 on my skis.

if the bindings are mountd corrctly to your boot, you will rlease fine from the p18's, alot of people dont even like upward release, me included.

that doesn't mean im riding a 17or 18 din that only means that the gap between 8 an 18 is bigger than the gap the sth16 have from 9-16. it starts one din higher than the p18 and ends up two din lower than p18s. that's what i'm saying.

im pretty sure my fks are lighter than sth16s, either way if you are complaining that much about binding weight you shouldn't be riding them anyways, you are to big of a pussy.

Here, I'm going to sort out how fucking dumb you are.

So lets start off with what we know: He has a pair of P 18's, 8-18 DIN. Someone recommends that he goes and buys another set of bindings with a similar DIN ran range. He questions their imput. You then proceed to nip at his heels saying that it must mean he needs a DIN of 17 or 18. You are really an idiot my friend. All he's saying is why on earth would he drop another ~300 on a pair of bindings he doesn't need? HE ALREADY HAS AN EQUIVILENT PAIR!

some people...
