P12 brakes on chronic wides

So i got my p12 jibs put on my pair of chronic wides, and after i had dropped the off at the shop and was on my way back to pick them up it occured to me that i was fairly certain that the brakes were smaller than the skis. anyways, i show up and i take a quick look and it looks good so i take them home. Turns out they are a little bit too small, but when i release they do swing down, although there friction there for sure. Think itll be a big problem? or will it not have much affect?
 
I got the same setup as well, i just bought new brakes....I could have bent em and im sure they would have been fine but i just decided to buy wider ones in case i get wider skis in the future.
