P-Enemies or Chronics

Okay since some of you have gotten to ski, im tryin to figure out which skis to pick up tomorrow. Ive narrowed it down to these 2. Im like 5'11" 185 so im lookin for the 176->178 range and i know these skis both come in that range. I say i ski like 70% park 30% groomers,pow,trees etc. What do you guys think?
 
Why is that? Im on the east coast and dont see deep stuff that often (maybe once or twice a year) How else will the wides make a difference? Is it worth the price increase
 
I rode both last year, and both are great skis, i found the K2s to be a little heavier though. When it comes down to it, I'd go with whichever was less expensive
 
i ski the east coast too, and the edge's on k2's don't hold for shittttttt, i had a pair of PE's then got the chronics, def. go with the chrons, don't get the wides, no point out here, and they're not THAT much wider
 
i think they're about the same, but trust me bro cuz ur on the east coast you need your edges to hold, and k2's just don't match up
 
i own both because i snapped my PE's (after like 2.5 years of beating the shit out of them mind you) and wasnt expecting a waranty cause it was partially my fault so i bought chronics and then ended up with a pair of 06 PE's for free. They are both sick skis in my opinion i like the chronics a bit better in the park but they handle everything else good and arent just a park ski. As far as all mountain goes though i have to give the edge to the PE's i like carving on these better and they have a bit more float in the deep stuff, except i do prefer the chronics when skiing tight trees and bumps cause they seem a bit more lively there, pretty much they are both sick skis and besides thinking about price maybe grab the PE's if u spend less time in the park,
 
im in the same situatin as you, east cost 70% park and all that i had last years pe's for the 2nd half of the season before that and i hated them, they seemed dead when they were going thew the trees and on groomers and felt to heavy and aquward for the park i'm now on armadas and love them but just as advice i wouldnt go with pe's if its between them and chronic go with the chron
 
yea chrons for sure, publics are more of a west coast all mountain ski, snd true, they suck on ice
