Own Bank Account Under 18

if you do there are prbly gonna be a lot of restrictions on it

and now obama wants to make more restrictions for credit cards and shit, but thats another issue

Well I have a passbook saving account, young statement savers, and checking. I put my spending money in the last of the 2 but as far as I know they are all linked to my parents account. I don't think you can have a separate account, I'm amusing you live in the good old United States?

Oh yea sorry for the dub post but it would be a good idea to make an account under your parents, you'll avoid a lot of frees and such.

What type of account? Theres going to be restrictions because of your age a savings won't really matter what age but checking and other privileges on an account are going to requite a certain age
and cluckaluck is an idiot he doesnt have his own bank account his parents are joint owners

I already have a perfectly fine bank account, i just want one they don't know about or have acess to. And yes i live in the U.S.

i just got a bank account separate from my parents and im only 14. you just need your parents with you to sign

My parents are custodial but I have full obligation to remove my money when I want too. No matter how much I love and trust my parents its good if your the only person who can touch your own money.

i have had my own personal checking and savings since i was 16..As long as you have a job some places can help you out. My credit Union had a branch in my highschool, which was pretty tight.

When I was in elementary school, I joined a program where I would bring 2 dollars to school every Friday, and put it in a bank account, my very own account. It was cool when I was a little dude because every time you would bring money, they would give you something like a pencil or an eraser or something, to teach you about saving, and saving is good (I live in a poor town)

Well, now that I'm 19, that account is still being used, in my name, like it has always been. The only rule was, when I was still in elementary school, I couldn't withdraw money without my mom being with me, but once I turned like 13 they stopped caring, and I could

Ive had my own bank account since I was 10. The only thing my parents could ever see was statements in the mail, but i opted out of that and get emails instead.

I tried it. It wasn't possible without a guardian there to change the rules or to set up your own account. But since I'm 18 now I just created a new one.

I go to Wells Fargo if that matters.

same. I made like 30 dollars at a lemonade stand and my mom tricked me into getting one by saying shed put money in it whenever I did and to this day she's hardly let me take any out
