My content makes money on its own and a large Instagram account like his should be making a lot of money on its own using normal posts. If it's not then he's doing it wrong. If my content isn't good enough to pull in the views needed to generate $ then that's my fault, not the viewer's fault. You shouldn't need "extra, special" paywalled content. Blocking the very people that got me to this position in the first place from any content would be such a scum bag move.

He has a big enough following that I bet he hires a social media manager to manage the page and this was the managers idea and he's going with it.

my partner made me log into NS on my phone and post in this thread because she came up with the phrase “Owenly Fans” and she wants everyone to know how clever she is.

Maybe, even still it's always his call on how he wants his account ran. If he thought that wasn't a good way to monetize he could just tell his manager to figure out another way, like having them reach out for potential sponsors/brand deals instead. Idk, just a really shitty move imo.

He says he wants to help people become better skiers and learn from him, yet he makes it more difficult for people to view his content?

How is that helping the skiing community?

Only thing it’s helping is his bank account.

Like Bag of Dicks said prior, if he has that big of a following and isn’t already making money off of it, the dude is doing it wrong.

If he really wanted to help the skiing community he would make his content available for everyone without having to pay. Guy acts like he’s being forced to spend hours posting content on Instagram.

If you don’t feel like you are getting enough out of your content, then maybe focus on quality over quantity and quit wasting your time posting stuff that isn’t getting you exposure.
