I just got my retainer today, like one of the clear invisalign ones. and i must say, IT HURTS LIKE CRAZY. Anyone else have any mad pain issues putting these babies in and taking them out? hurts like hell for me.
 
It shouldn't hurt, unless you mean like your teeth are way out of place and it hurts when there on. Call your ortho and schedule another appointment and tell them to fix it
 
it takes a couple nights for your teeth to stop hurting.....if the orthodontist told you to wear it during the day, don't it will get all nasty and give you bad breath so only wear it at night
 
yeah i had like a big gap in my two front teeth after i got my braces off and she couldnt get it on all the way in the ortho cause it was so tight. so i just kept pushing up on it every half hour or so, and now taking it out is murder

i didnt want a retainer after i had braces, so now im prolly gonna get them a again. oh well, i was like 12. not a good choice
 
if you dont wear that thing, that 5,000 dollars your mommy and daddy spent on your braces is gonna go to waste within weeks.
 
bahaha dude they're fuckin retainers. get over it and wear them. i wore them....when i was 12! hahaha
 
it hurts like crazy for the first few days, but after that its fine. unless you forget to wear it for like a week. then when you put it on you cant concentrate on anything cuz its so fucking irritating.
 
my family couldn't afford braces when i was young. my bottom teeth are a little crooked from bunching but whatever
 
Exactly. I threw my parents money out with window when I didn't wear mine. Now my bottom teeth are a little crooked. Though they're not as bad as they were. Still, I wish I would have worn my retainer.
