1. skiierman strikes again.

2. Searchbar

3. Tighten boots and don't land backseat

4. Ice them if they hurt

Okay first this is prob the 100000000000000000000th thread i have read on shin bang but for shin bang what you will have in your shins is little bumps. What you gotta do is rub those little shits until you cry. This works, when you rub.... DON'T BE A FUCKING PUSS!

It's been said a million times.

1. Don't ski backseat.

2. Don't land backseat.

3. Boots that fit.

4. Tighten your boots.

5. Don't ski backseat.

6. Booster straps.

7. Don't land backseat.

8. Boots that Fit.

9. Beer Cozy in your boot.

10. DON'T LAND BACKSEAT.

Sometimes it's not about how tight or loose your boots are. Alot of people that have frequent shin bang have theproblem where the tendons on the fronts of your boots move forward when you put pressure on the outside part of your foot. Your shop can fix that by changing how your footbed makes your gut sit if that is the problem

thick beer coozy in your boot then tighten the hell out of em. Not the ideal fix, but ffor temp purposes it works. Then go buy some Dalbello Krypton's with ID liner. Cured mine. Never had a sore shin again.

Try Shinnies. They worked for me! I bought them at a rental shop in North Carolina when I was skiing and they helped almost instantly. Im pretty sure they were only $7.99

switching to full tilts helped me with my addiction to meth, and helped my stamina during sex. THANKS FULLTILT

I was starting to go bald but wearing full tilts helped me grow thick luscious hair. Now I have more confidence and I feel young again. Thanks Full Tilt!

I had shin bang bad for a long ass time, full tilts with custom liners changed my life, got my liners from surefoot the out side of the tunge is solid plastic.

I feel like a fucking idiot asking this but what exactly IS shinbang?

Like, I used to race for almost 5 years and worked with the ski team as a coach for about 2 and never had any problems with my shins other than my leg hair getting ripped out from my socks rubbing on them a little bit.

its when you land backseat and it screws up your tendons or something on your shin and makes it almost impossible to ski. consider yourself lucky to have never had it

and i solved mine by getting boots that fit

I have struggled with shinbang for a while, always had boots that fit well, booster straps etc, but every now and again, I would always land backseat and be fucked.

This year in NZ I got new boots that had a rear 'spoiler', like a bit of plastic on back of the liner. I thought that maybe if I move that higher, it would give me more support when I do land backsseat, and it worked. So if you are hurting, have tried everything else, and have a spoiler, move it higher!

Alright thanks.

I always buckle my boots up super tight since I hate having my legs feel like they are swimming which can happen if mine aren't on tight enough.

i have posted this prob 69 times atleast on NS
tensor bandage around you shin started about 3 inches above your ankle and ending just about the cuff of your ski boot on your leg. then take duct tape and wrap it around you leg from the bottom up not so tight that you loose circulation but tight enough that it keeps everything in place and snug. This will help keep you muscle infront of you shin and help protect the sensitive nerves and tendons in the front of your shin which is the pain that you experience from shin-bang. I have been doing this for the last 4 year and prob 20 rolls of duct tape later im still doing it and it works like a charm

Its either A.) You didn't get fitted for a boot properly and/or you bought the wrong boot for you, Or B.) Its your scar tissue bunched up on your tibia.

Best thing to do for that is take the side of your phone, pen or something you can use to flatten or smooth things out and run it over your shins. It may hurt when you smooth out the tissue but your shins will thank you.
