Hey I have been looking for some nice oversized headphones, not like super expensive but decent, I cant seem to find a pair I like, most of them are too heavy for when I ski, I dont want them flinging off, but I already have small headphones so I want some oversized, so if anyone has some good links hook me up,

yah you can get super nice sony ones for like 30 bucks and like 50 bucks for crome ones(this is canadian prices

i went to best buy right after thanksgiving and got some nice sonys for like 20 bucks, their really light and wont fall off, but they also have really good sound. friday after thanksgiving always has sweet deals

Sony DJ phones. Same one Mikeal, Tanner, Pollard, ect all use. They are $100US at www.pssl.com (Pro Sound and Stage Lighting). I dont know the model, but they are the best headphones you would want to wear skiing. You can get the step down for about $50US. Same thing, but smaller, and less powerful.

im gettn some puter speakers. the creative labs 4.1 system... i heard them before and they are amazing and only 60 bucks. quality is as good or better than movie theater. or u can get 5.1 for a bit more.

i have the Sony MDR-V300 and theyre great. they fit well with goggles adn a hat and they dont fall off. the sound is really good and they seem to be really durable too. i dont know how much they were tho, but they were bought from the sony store.

i have both the 300s and 700s and with abuse the 300s cracked cause its not as strong as the 700s. but the 700s are fucking amzing.. such good sound quality. and complete noise block out..

im gettin v150's they are cheap so when i crash and break them i wont cry to my mommy, plus the cord is only 6 feet instead of like 11 feet which is mad long, the only thing that sucks is the sound will be bad

Ok, so I have v700dj's so maybe I'll share a word about them... They got so far the best sound quality that I've heard. But they are kinda heavy compared to v500dj's and the thing that is attaching the headband and earcup does suck because the plastic is too hard and it cracks pretty easily (especially on cold winter days be careful!). I've broke already ones like that. But the look and sound quality is sickest ever and if you're not afraid that you broke them then go for it! My rating 9/10(unless that attachment system it would be 10).

the 700's are soley for professional use, anything else is uneconomical. yes, they sound great, but to the average person, YOU, you wo'nt tell a difference.

if you only want them because they look 'oversized' which makes no sense get the mdr-v300's for decent ones, or fucking go to your grocery store and get the ones at the checkout that are 'oversized'

i have v150's, they dont sound that bad, but im upgrading to v700's hopefully for my tables that im gettin soon

i have the 150s cause they were 15 buxks theyre sound really isnt that bad, unless your doing soime reall sound stuff, but for skiing theyre fine

whee i have the smaller sony v-whatevers... tho they do break super easily, just to warn u... but the sound quality is great and there pretty cheap for sony equipment!

my v150s wore out quickly. The sound quality is bad and starting to get crackly when they are on all the way.

i might get some v700s for everyday use. i think of it this way, it's much cheaper than buying new speakers and shit for my room, plus these have better quality, are portable, and are cheaper.

What the fuck fack was that 'average person doesn't hear the difference between v700 and others'? I'm not professional or anything but I can say that you have to deaf or something if you don't hear the difference even v700 compared to v500! but that's true that if you use phones only for skiing you don't need v700.

 
Get some Koss Porta Pros or Sports Pros (about $50 and $35 respectively) - they look mad ugly, but they beat the crap out of any Sony under $100 in sound quality.

I got the uber-cool ones, and they were really expensive, and they look like what all the pro's have, and i can wear them now with my oakley goggles and be popular in the park, and listen to my phat beats that all the pros listen to and pretend that i can do the tricks that the pros can do because i have their headphones so it makes me cool and tricky like them right?

I just got some ugly Koss's too but the sounds awesome and Radio Shacks warranty is super good. Whenever you break em they replace them for you.

 
Isnt that dangerous? Cuz what if someone is comming towards you about to crash, you cant hear them and move. Doesnt it really screw up awareness?

na mike, its not to bad, just be aware... dont have them super loud all the time, if u are ready to hit a jump and try suttin new... blare them to get stoked, if ur are just skiing all around turn the volume down so u can hear a little around u, people have yeld my name from the chairlift and i can never hear them so i think i have my headphones to loud a lot... i get wicked headaches

700dj's are closed so they block all noise around you really well. so if you want to hear something you should turn volume down really heavily.
