Overshooting vs. Undershooting

Which do you think sucks worse. When i say overshooting i'm not talking about 20 feet past the landing but instead at the very bottom or the start of the flats. I think over because you know you're fucked for a lot longer

A cocktail, you asked for a cocktail.

No, I asked you to give me a refreshing drink. I wasn't expecting a

hahah, thats a good question...hm.

''Some say hope floats, my crew sunk their battleships. Seattle shit, the Northwest assassinate your catalyst.''

the answer is over, overshooting u fall from twice as high than u do undershooting (usually), the only exception is step ups, but anyone who says that undershooting is worse is dumb and has never really overshot the entire landing of a jump

i thikin big overshooting, like waayy down, cause youve gone bigger by then, going faster probably, and falling a lot further, but undershooting, deckng, can be worse if its a huge jump, like a 120ft step down or somethin

over is sooooooo much worse, it sucks when you see your landing pass, even worse when ot makes you over rotate your spin

the only thing is overshooting almost always has some slope vs. under it's a completely flat landing.

depends on the jump, undershooting can suck too

like, say, a 20-foot step-up where you just slam into the wall and slide back down

otherwise overshoot for sure

depends... if you undershoot something like a road gap I'd say that would be marginally worse than overshooting it.

for sure.....like a dumb ass i was undershooting breck's biggin a lilw hile ago....oh man i was sore for like 3 days after that......i just stopped turning now.

overshooting hurts a hell of a lot more. you fall from a hell of a lot higher and know that it's going to hurt like a bitch. at least undershooting isn't as far as a fall down.

Overshooting is A LOT worse, i just did that this weekend at blue, i hit the big booter at the bottom at the same speed as a week ago without realizing they had shaved the kicker a bit, i wanted to do a 3, ended up landing in the flats at 450 and landed sideways, im out for 2 weeks with a bruised knee and crushed pinky finger. Why they had to change the jump i dont fucking know, it was the smoothest thing ever before.

chances are you'll rack either way, so at least make your bail worthy - overshoot. The example shouldnt be on a table - it should be a gap. Would you rather be a puss and fall in the gap or clear the whole shabam and smack your skull?

i toremy acl, mcl, and both meniscus overshooting. sucks

i think there's a pretty reply to this thread that alpentalik may have been hinting at but i won't bite his lure.

i agree i'd rather overshoot a gap than undershoot it. on tables though i'd much rather undershoot, i've kind of learned to absorb most of the impact. you're a lot more likely to get hurt overshooting a huge table than undershooting.

I apologize in advance for my retarded posts. i just get that way sometimes...

i'd have to say undershooting hurts more because you fall twice then. You hit the deck just short of the landing and the bounce (well i normaly bounce, don't so much off smaller jumps) to the flats sucks. I've had my hardest and most painful falls doing that. although that sinking feeling when the landing dissapears sucks too.

a meant a pretty funny reply. i guess it could be pretty too if it wears some makeup and does up its hair

overshooting is definatly the worst, especially when you land switch, ouch

overshooting is the worse.. because you know as soon as you leave that u aren't landing.. so the whole time you can't even grab or anything.. just flailing around trying to land and shit

Smoking pot leads to uhh... I forget.

over shooting hurts ur feet like a bitch, but if u undershoot and are trying something inverted it suckls bc u always land on ur head or shoulder

me: pepsi twist taste the exact same as normal pepsi.

my friend: no it doesnt , it has a twist.

It's all relative to what you're doing. I vote for undershooting, because at least whatever you're slamming into, you're slamming in to with less velocity...

I've never cased a huge 100 ft. table top, but that has to suck.

I always end up overshooting stuff, if you are gonna go for it then go for the gold!

why is it the days you always overshoot a big jump that the landing is solid ice?

overshootin hurts less in my opinion, plus when ure in the hospital you can say 'dude, i overshot the jump!'

ghostdragon the answer is because the in run is ice too and u get to much speed, but 123ski, are u talking about pcmr, cause if u went 90 on that jump ud land damn close if not on the beggining of the second table

it sucks to over shoot cuz you can't do jack about it. if you undershoot you can try to tuck up more and hope for enough hang time and feel like your helping but when you go too far you get this sick feeling of OH SHIT!

the magazine is called 'POWDER' cool! - my stupid non-skiing friend

na dude, it is the first table at snowbird, im not sure if it was 90 feet, but it has a really long landing and I cleared it plus the table is huge already, anyone know how big it is to clear the whole landing?

'Heath Ordway Gets Head, Do You' - Head Skis Ad

tough call. Undershooting sucks. for example, that guy in strike three or happy days i forgot which that undershot a helmjsdalle or however you spell it kicker. One of those huge ass death booters. He broke something. This post of mine sucked.

'dude, I'm wicked smart dude.'

I have seen many people owershooting and nothing happened to them but I have seen one guy undershooting and he broke hes legs. But it depend of the kicker.

UNdershooting hurts to bad on a table...cause then you loose lots of brains cells...at least if you over shoot theres a little bit of a slope.

---WHy do you think you take a Ho to a HOtel--

I took a medium jumps at keystone yesterday, completely and taotally overshot the landing. Still hurts today. I got from the top of hill this 'damn thats a lot of air, but hes screwed.

Overshooting hurts more, turns you into a human pancake

overshooting is bad very bad....its the worst landing switch though....oh thats not good, once i did a 180 and overshoot and landed flat switch. it took me a few to get up
