Overshooting vs. Casing

overshooting is scary as hell. i hate that fucking feeling when you see the landing underneith you and youre still like 10-20 feet up

OOOOOHHH SHIIIIITTTTT and time slows way the fuck down..

casing sucks bad too though. id rather case a litte than overshoot a little, case your tails is better than a flat landing anyday.

depends if case means onto flat or an up hill slope as in not clearing a step up, but overshhoting is worrse

casing is way worse. i dont know why, but i would rather have too much speed than not enough. i guess i have never hurt myself overshooting except for maybe once

it depends on the size of the jump, like if its huge i'd rather overshoot almost, cuz you get that bounce effect when you case on a big hit and its effectively 2 slams in one, cuz you crush your heels then bounce over most of the transition to the flats anyway. but overshooting is just as shitty, plus when you're overshooting its a sickening feeling to see the landing fly past.

ive had experiences with both and this is the result:

overshooting: 5 broken verebrae (sp)

casing: shinbang.

overshooting is worse.

from what i've seen so far this year,

overshooting = life flight off the hill

casing = nice comfy ride down in a sled in tow by patrol

ya but i guess you know when you have over-shot and can better prepare yourself for impact, unlike a case when you think your about to stomp the shit outta sumin then BAM your fucked and it hit you like a freight train.

i overshot today over a 60 footer and was to far foward and smashed my face into my knee so i guess id go with overshooting haha

thats the worst feeling when ur still like ten ft up and you knew you should have landed

overshooting is most deff way worse

yeah but tanners is prolly the worse case of caseing a jump youll ever see.....it was on chads so he alot of speed going into the caseing....so id say over shooting is worse b/c you are farther down and carrying more speed and more likly to die

over looks way more bad ass but its way scarier, especially when you get up there thinking, oh

depends on the jump though, casing kills on liek 50+, i totally ed up my heel lsat weekend casing

ski big sky

I would have to say overshooting cuz not only are you landing on flat, but landing on flat from higher in the air. Casing just hurts your self esteem.

i overshot the 45 foot right side of the money booter at COC, like past the tranny into the flat, probably shouldve hit the 65 footer, but w/e

it did hurt at all, ive been really lucky

if you land directly on the knuckle you can break your binding and launch yourself over the landingthus doing both this hurts especially bad when done switch

Overshooting is super scary especially when your roll over the knuckle and you are still 15 feet high, its so hard knowing your gonna land flat and its going to hurt...but casing shit hurts the ego and the body, espiecally on the anti knuckle

I say casing is worse, cause u look like a dumbass pussy when u case, and its flat compared to some downhill when u overshoot

it depends on the situation......tanners= better to overshoot

dumont=better to case.

personally i would much rather case a park jump.

casing is for pussys, im too badass for that, id rather overshoot and die than case!

overshooting hurts way more i cased a 50ft doing a 3 and didn't hurt 1 bit but i overshot a 25 ft and my shins were dead

it depends the size and what you're doing. i'd say over shooting hurts more in general cause you're falling farther and faster, but if you're doing something corked or inverted casing can mean you're coming short, which i have done and dislocatedmy shoulder on a misty 5.

Amen. I love it when you see some gaper come cruising into one of the jumps at the park and just overshoot the Whole landing.

i would rather be 20+ feet above a slightly sloped hill(overshot) than what i did 20+feet above the knuckle. but case is worse usually, cause 20 feet above knuckle would be 40 feet above overshooting

I'd have to say that casing the takeoff of the next jump in the line a hundred or so feet down the hill is the worst. Especially with a B.O.T. in hand. faust sucks.

I have a friend that overshooted a 60 ft table jump. Shit man, he had problems talking for a few weeks, he fell on his legs then he flew in the air for a few feet and fell back on his head. Overshooting is way more pain.

it depends...you could come up short on chads, or overshoot a 15 footer and chads will hurt worse. but if youre on the same size jump overshooting is worse

you kids are all such park rats.. it depends on what you are doing, if its a gap jump like chads, i would suggest going way to fast than casing. but if its a park jump i would rather case cuz they just aren't that big.

so its all relative
