There is a super old shot of some dude coming up like 30ft short into the back of chads, granted there was like 5ft of pow, he was fine. Tanner just fell in the worst way possible at the worst time of year.

yeah dude, among countless other things, he was THIS close to landing switch misty 9 on chad's that same day. not crazy to think he would have stomped it if tanner hadn't crashed and ended the session
