Overlapping videos?

I know there is threads on this already but I didn't know what to search for so maybe someone can help me find one. How do you edit a video so you can have the same person hitting the last jump in a set aswell as the second at the same time? Do you need some special editing program or can this be done in adobe premiere?
 
he's right, it's way easier in after affects, can still probably be done in premiere depending on why angle you shot both jumps from.
 
you can do it in premiere, although it's easier in after effects.

just go through your effects and find a garbage matte, depending on the shot you might want to use a 16 point or 8 point one, i cant see a 4 point one working well at all. To use a garbage matte you drag the points up from the bottom, say, and it will make anything below those points dissapear.

So to apply this for how you want to use it you're going to want put the shot of the first jump on the first video track, and the shot of 2nd jump right ontop of the first one, on the 2nd track. You should probably be able to figure out the rest from here, just mess around with the matteing and you'll get the hang of it.

but would you be able to make it drag along then?

cuase i think youd have to do it for each frame wouldnt you?

in after effects you can just hit the little stopwatch for movement

if im completly wrong and you can still do that in premiere then dont pay attention to anything i just said though haha ive never tried to do it in premiere so
 
yea they pretty much got it all. the only two things i would add, are to use a tripod, so the shots line up (a steady hand usually wont do the trick), and you can add a feather to the top track, which will blur the edge 's together so if the lighting changed, or anything in the shot changed, it will smooth it out.
