outlook on parks next year

i guess this is a place to post up anything about the new parks in the area for next season.

pakenham is getting new ownership so there park will be massize and there putting the t-bar along side the park for easy hikeing....

calabogie will also be sicks becuase of all the attention they got last year... watch out for these places next year.

I'll have my license, therefore hooking up calabogie/pakenham every weekend.. Mount Marting in Deep River will have 2 hits and a couple rails (LOL)

halariously, cascades started havin some OK rails at the end of last year, but they had NO HITS... so maybe they will make some hits next year... i think my friend who is a teacher there is getting some input on it... not much though... and im counting on justin(yes you justin) to help get ev's park not sucking.

I think my friend danny is gonna be park manager for Vorlage, although I dont think he has much space alloted to him, hell try his best.

yeah id like to see vorlage step it up for next year...i mean they tried this year, they even had a qp, and a handful of rails...but their hits were despicable. the qp was ice as well, but it was cool that they had one. what im saying, tho, is that they need to learn how to build a decent jump next year.

does anyone know about carlington park in downtown ottawa? i saw that they were trying to build a pipe and park this year, but i didnt ever see how it was. anyone know about it?

Yeah, MSM heart was in the right place for turning chanson into a nice big park, but it wasn't nearly steep enough to get any speed, and there was nothing decent to hit. Next winter I'm just going to set up some shit in my back yard, I also 2 nice rails near my house, and one more that I could saw the knobs off (daws lake pavillion). So it may be alright.

These things make me mad.

Devils Elbow in Bethany sucked this year...they had a half ass kicker with icy landing..the rails were small and sticky and they had a box that was the size of my arm...and this year it probably wont change to much (ticket prices there are insane!)

calabogie is about 45 minutes north of ottawa..... great place to ski.... its about 10 minutes from my house so thats cool

mount st. louis mooonstone will be doing a huge revamp of the park this year to attract more riders and steal those ppl form blue who hate how crowded it is.

papineauville had a good park a couple years ago. the problem is its not really a hill its like this organized thing but no lifts so you have to hike. but its worth its like 10$ for a day or somethin.

pakenham will have a lift in there park, weither it is a tow rope or t bar, it will be lift serviced

which really wont have much of an affect cuz the hill is so small anyway. but its great for lazy people like nick i suppose.

pakenham is closer the calabogie, and this year will hopefully have a better park, there is a bunch of us working togeather to make a kick ass jib section and the larger jump was smooth last year so they might multiply, calabogie is cool too but pakenham is open nights so this is where i go every night after school and usually in the day time when i skip school, its cool becuase i know everyone there and at calabogie people come and go alot, pakenham is more friendsly and a better atmosphere.....

yeh I heard tremblant is going to have to parks this winter....don't know for sure though so don't bitch if I'm wrong

 
Sweet, I think we might be skiing at pakenhamm on a few weekdays maybe if we can make it out, hope to see some of you there, and of course on weekends calabogie!

u can't be serious about hopefully pakenhams park will be better then calabogies. first of all calabogie had places where u can get speed for jumps over 20 feet. Im running the park full time this year and it is gonna be insane. last year we showed uppermanagement that a good park can bring people to the hill. which means this year we are gettin more money for rails and more cat time to build big tables. sure tremblant had a great park last year but it wasn't till the last month of the season that they had a jump bigger then at calabogie.

Tremblant said that they are in fact having a second park on the south side, however it's only going to be rails, and other small features. No halfpipe down there :(
