Watch some edits and see what you like. Skiing is an art and representative of who you are. If you get stuck bring this back.

I'm seriously considering getting one of the pac-sun playboy windbreakers (baggy of course) and can't decide whether it'll look sick or i'll look like a massive douche

woof based off the response to this I guess I have my answer lol

Everyone that says worthless feel good platitudes like “skiing is not a fashion show” is a fucking idiot. If Nick Goepper had a completely different kit he would be hailed as a style king. If Siver Volkl had tighter pants and a Red Bull helmet no one would give a shit about him.

Making sure your pants are proportional to the rest of your outfit is very important. If you have a big baggy hoodie and fitted/tight pants, you’re gonna look fucking weird. The inverse of this however, looks a lot better. Baggy pants in skiing will never go away because it just makes skiing look better. That’s not to say that skinny pants can’t look good (Max Hill, Forster Meeks, and Jossi Wells are some of my favorite skiers), you just have to match your outfit proportionally.

Some skiers will go so far as to change their trick selection in order to fit a certain style (or just straight up copy their favorite skiers). You’ll see this with baggy pant Henrik clones that do a lot of butters or skinny pant hesh skiers who do a lot of sniper taps.

Now let’s talk color. Dark and neutral colors are the dominant colors used by skiers because of how well they look aesthetically. Kits and outfits 5-10 years ago used to have A LOT more color. So much so that the term “skittle kid” was born to describe kids whose entire outfits had every color of the rainbow. Remember when Saga made a fuck ton of neon shit and “highlighter kids” were abundant? Many consider all black everything to be played out, but a lot of skiers still use it because it’s a safe option for looking good. If you’re going to utilize color for your kit, less is more is usually a good adage to follow. Use colors that don’t clash and blend well with the rest of your outfit.

FUCK my ADD drugs are kicking in and I just wasted 10 minutes typing this out.

Just look around on skiers instagrams and edits. Even browsing clothing sites can give you ideas for what to wear on the hill.

If you see someone at A-basin on gaper day in assless chaps, say what's up. Depending on the forecast, I may or not be entirely kidding.

All chaps are assless. If they had an ass, they'd be pants

My advice is to buy the size that makes you nervously think "oh shit maybe this is going to be too big"

Combine this rule with “waterproof clothing is for posers” and ur absolutely set to be a style god
