Outdoor/Summer Set up issues

My friend and I are making a summer setup. We have the drop in and rail, the only thing we need is the turf or carpet to use. We already spent a lot on rail and drop in and we don't want to spend more benjamins on turf. Any suggestions of other materials that are cheap and you can ski on them just like you would on turf or outdoor carpet? Please help. +k
 
What me and buzz did was we went door to door and asked if we could remove any carpet for them. Finally after an hour of walking someone let us take theirs. It saved both of us some $$$

Turf then lattice on top for the drop in and your set. You could get plastic construction fencing but turf and lattice is better.
 
plastic siding works pretty well, or just old short hair carpet. with soap and water is what I always used.

You can put just lattice i don't really get the point of putting turf down then lattice.
 
i went paintballing for my friends birthday at an indoor paintball place. they had a bunch of extra turf just laying around since they had just redone the floor. They said i could just take it. you might not get as lucky as me but i got 52 square feet for free
 
Just lattice or construction fencing for the drop works well and saves money. Turf is needed on the tranny and lip for grip when spinning on
