u cut urself, cry baby. last year i launched off a whale back that i didnt see and i hit the next one, and the next one and the next one, ect. i broke my hip in 3 places had internal bleeding and a concusion, prolly not the worst injury but it kept me out of most of last year and fall soccer this year. i feel bad for the dilocated shoulder kid though i have been there

Dude, yo ucan ski with a bad shoulder. Maybe not hard-core jibbing cuz u dont want to fall, but u can still ski! I seperate my shoulder pretty much on a monthly basis and I dont worry about it.

Yeah, the shoulder's been dislocating on a regular basis since I first fucked it last winter- if I was still able to reduce it (pop it back in) myself, I wouldn't think it was a problem. But every time it dislocates it gets harder to put back in, and last week I couldn't do it myself and had to go to the hospital; and I'm really not looking forward to riding down the hill once a month with a dislocated shoulder so I can go to the hospital to get it placed, both pain-wise and expense-wise. So I'm going with the surgery... I guess it's best to sacrifice one season for the sake of all the others.

And by the way, I'm not trying to make you feel bad for me. I'm demanding that you feel bad for me.

Kamakaze, the SAME EXACT THING happened with both of my sholders, at first i could put them back in myself but now they dislocate so far out that i have to go to the hospital and get muscle relaxants to get them back in...bad stuff...also got a dent in the ball of my sholder last time because it was up against the edge of the socket for too long....i hate my sholders....all the tendons and muscles are torn to shit

yo i'm 24 (senior citizen) and i had a complete shoulder reconstruction 2 years ago in the first week of september and i was skiing in december, i had to take it easy until about march but i was still on snow...basically don't listen to the doc and don't flail around with your arms over your head and you'll be fine

 
damn that sucks man, ive been lucky with shit like that so far, hope it works out and u can ski by spring

Shut the fuck up dude. That's what i'v BEEN doing, and that's how it got to the point that it's at. It's just your sholder? yeah you fuck up the tendons in your shoulder and have it be rediculously painful to lift your arms above your head (if you can even get them that far without dislocating) and then you call me a pussy. you dont realize how much you acualy use your arms for stabilization and such when yuor skiing until it hurts like a bitch to move them quickly. so yeah, the last couple seasons i just kept skiing regardless, and it kept popping out and fucking it up more and more and every time i had to go to the hospital...not fun, and not good for the shoulders at all.

exactly, come on people dont be idiots. you dont really recognize how much you use your arms skiing. you have to pole plant, stabalize, etc, etc... try screwing up your shoulder and skiing, and then come back and say stuff

if u just do all your rehab shit and really push yourself u will recover a lot faster....i recovered from my knee injury last year a month before the therapist said i would

honestly u dont really need both arms to ski at all! my dad spent a hald a winter racing with one arm strapped to his cehst because he couldn't use his left arm cause of rotator cuff and arthritis problems. and he's a good skier. as along as u have one hand ur set

yeah i just got done with the whole reconstructed shoulder thing. all in all it's a six month process. after about three to four months you'll be all good to ride carefully. like some said before me, dont flail, and keep your arm in front of you if you do fall. rehab it like crazy and it will be as good as new. my new shoulder feels like it could handle anything. the pain killers and muscle relaxants you'll get will make up for the lack of skiing. have fun unda the knife yo.

 
atleast its sholder so u can still be on the snow with the friends, and fillming or sumthing, it sucks but u can make the best outta it =) plus alwase a good comnversation starter with hot chicks
