The supplies were from a scrap metal dumpster and everything is held together by welds. All the cuts and welds were filed down and then we spray painted the base.
Good news. We are setting the rail up on Thursday at a local ski hill where I work as a snowboard instructor. They blew some snow last night and are blowing (no homo) all day tomorrow so there should be plenty of snow to set it up.
