This is at a hill behind my friends house. We created the bases for the jump with dirt, and abd base for the rail with both, sticks, dirt and a peice of wood...

Tell me what you think, were not done with the jump yet. At the very top, theres a big tree that my friend pushed down, where, were gonna sit and stuff, and then, off to the right, is where were gonna start to hit the rail...

(Canandaigua, New York)

I like the idea of "pre-building" the jump. I'm going to do the same thing at a friends house. He has this hill behind his house and there is a small "road" that goes across it, so I'm planning on building a jump to gap the road.

Yeah, we pre-built it so its semi-permanet, and so we can hit it when theres not a bunch of snow, just enough to cover the top...

We can get 2 more of the exact rails, and we were thinking of making a kink, up were the "jump" is supposed to be.

since when is one rail a backyard park, i mean i built a little jib for this year, but i wouldnt consider it a park.

its still cool for messin around though.

if you ski at bristol you prolly live in rochester, i hope you didnt bury that rail cuz itll be gone by new yrs.

Here are some more pictures of the rail. And yeah, its not really a "park", I didn't know what else to call it.

thats dope man!, if you can u should also cut down some more trees to widen the trail at the bottom so you can bomb in and build a jump at the bottom!

Not bad, fun to play around on. I built a flat down flat in metals and Im gunna make a 25 foot flat and a C rail to go on my hill. Its gunna be sick as hell.

thats what our tentative backyard park is gonna be the "mystery" rail is gonna be like half a rainbow half a roller coaster basically like a 6-8ft rollercoaster with a little hook on the end to send you flying up at the end its gonna be so redonk

man u could make a sweet line of shit with that clearing...couple jibs i would say over a jump...i dunno how much you think your going to be able to do with a 3ft high jump

my rail park should be pretty nice ill get pics up when its lookin like more then a hill. 18 ft urban down rail onto either a 20 ft flat up rail or a 26 ft flat rail gap down box then either a 12 ft box or a 20ft round flat down urban rail then onto a 23ft c-box and maybe a tree stall thats the hopes at least i dont have the 18 ft down rail yet or the 12 ft box the c-box is bein made and part of the flat up will be finished this next weekend

Do yoursealf a favor and rake all the laeves on ur path out of the way. especialy when there is under 6 inchs of snow it is a pain to pack it down on leaves. why are the 2 rails put together like that u should seperate thema nd make it into a flat down type rail.

Its basically just a lay-out of where its gonna be, we might build it up more, or we might move some dirt higher and make a kink with rails exactly like the 2 at the bottom (welder)

Haven't decided yet.

You could make a huge dirt mound, then make get one of those pallet things that they have at Costco and such and make a little wall? Just to stall on and stuff, that'd be a nice ender

Gah... I live in tract housing and I have around 30 palm trees in my backyard. The only time my city got snow was in 1987. I'm a skier DEFINETLY living in the WRONG town.

Well... at least living in LA means that Tahoe is close and Mammoth is closer... not like those poor bastards living in Florida or something.

yo dude, buy some pvc and put a wallride on the bottom, but put the crail on the side as a setup to the wall, that would be sick and make a flat down box for fucking around with butters and shit

gotta love backyard set ups, at my friends house we have a whole snowskating park, with rails of pvc, its fun, great to do right after skiiing

that guy has a mad sick set up. i saw some pics in the misc thing or rails i forget but hes got liek a billion rails its sick
