just read about Paul Ruff, the bartender who didnt clear the rocks on his 160 ft. cliff attempt. didnt really care until i saw the pic of him moments before his leap. he is the pink dot in the upper left hand corner.

im reading about it now and i guess he was doing it to break the world record at the time and doing it for a mountain dew commercial as well

I've seen the video before on some kind of 'Worst sporting moments' show.

I also remember seeing some video (Warren Miller?)where this guy was being asked about how calculated his risks are. He went on to say something about how everything is always well planned out cause he didn't want to die, and his last quote was something like, 'Dying ain't much of a living'. Ironic 'eh!
