Otterbox Defender Case

Does anyone have any experience with this iPhone case? I have the iPhone 5 and want to ski with it in my pocket but I'm scared of falling and destroying my new phone. Is this case good enough to prevent that? Thanks in advance for the help and as always +K

I had it for my 5 for about 20 minutes until I traded it in for the Commuter.

I found it too bulky, so bulky that I wasn't able to fit it into my pockets.

I've already bent my phone, so the risk of damage is there.

If you're really worried about damaging it, go for it. If not, and you still want the protection, but spare the bulk, go with the commuter

What this guy said.

I've had the LifeProof case on my 4 since they first came out and I'm a huge fan. I'm upgrading to the 5 next month so hopefully they are out for the 5 by then.

Best case hands down IMO.

I have only looked at it on the 4 (best friend's phone). It is definitely less bulky than the Otterbox. It's 80 dollars because it completely encases your phone in a God-proof forcefield.

So it actually makes the phone waterproof? Of course I'm not planning on going swimming with it but you know how stuff gets damp in your snowpant pockets. Also thanks for the input +K to all

The Lifeproof case is to be released in a week I do believe.

They make different kinds, including the snow one.

On top of the Commuter I have, I plan to get the Snowproof one.

Looks great, probably less bulk, and seems to fit the niche of a skier.

Yeah. Check out LifeProof's site and read up on it.

If I remember right they use Gore Tex to cover the speaker holes so you can still get sound and stuff. They really are worth the $80. Like I said, I've had mine since they first came out and I wouldn't go back to an Otterbox ever.
