Anyone live there? i might have to move there and i dont really want to. however if someone does live there can you say a little about what there is to do for fun and other crap.

for god sakes stay away from ottawa man, i live here, well it depends where youre movin from if its a small town then youll find it fun, do you know what part youre movin to?

It all depends on where you move to, and whether you have a car or not.. if you move to Stittsville and you have no car, just sell your parent's house when they aren't looking and use the money to run away.

If you live in North Bay, you'll LOVE Ottawa... haha... South Keys is a pretty good area.. they have everything you need within walking distance (probably.. I guess it depends exactly where you'll be) and you're only 15 minutes from the market (bars and such)... so that's pretty cool.

I live about 25 minutes from downtown... technically I still live in Ottawa, but it's really called Kanata..

yeah ottawa sucks cause we already lived here forever...might not be too bad if your just starting...there are a ton of us here already (unless we all disappear to whistler for the summer)

which is what will probably happen (see you guys out there - man, i wanna ski now... only been off snow for one day and i hate the offseason. oh well - gives me time to relax, get a job, and smoke a lot)

have fun in ottawa, it is alright, as for fun stuff to do, kicks the shit out of north bay, i never been to north bay and i will still stick by my argument, move to orleans tho it saves you 30 min drive to tremblant...south keys is alright, i have a friend staying there temproarily, it is a bitch for him to get to orleans though, but it is alright i suppose...it all depends what you plan on doing here, there are not many skate spots and on the most part the parks suck

don't do sleep and get 8 hours of drugs
 
I really don't see the problem with Ottawa... I constantly hear people bitching about it, but really, what's so bad? There's barely any crime at all, the traffic isn't that bad, the weather is typical Canadian weather, the people are relatively friendly, you have a slew of different bars to choose from, we have every store you could possibly want, etc... so what's so bad about it?

sweet dude, i live like 10 minutes away form you, try to go to hillcrest high school, tis where i go, as for substances, well theres his little place called hull if youre not of age, they sell to like 12 year olds, as for the maryjane, its everywhere

I like Ottawa. I live downtown and i can walk to pretty much anywhere i wish. As for bars, not bad. There are many and of all kinds. Though if your asking about highschools, then you won't have to worry yet, though we do have playstructures in almost every park :) j/k

I've lived in Ottawa for more that 20 years (all my life). It's not that bad really. There is quite a bit downtown in terms of clubs, although it does get boring fast (I guess it's the same anywhere though). The good thing is though, that Ottawa is only 2 hours away from Montreal and about 4 hours from Toronto, so if get a weekend off you can mix things up a bit.
