Other skiers in the park

I'm not down with the vibe that other skiers on twins seem to give eachother in the park. It seems that too many people are out trying to find out who's better than who than actually skiing. More than once i've been waiting to drop into the pipe or hit a jump and i'll say hi to the skier next to me I don't know and they don't even respond they just look straight ahead it's like what the fuck why arn't people friendly anymore? I don't understand? Maybe it's just where I ski or maybe i'm just not cool enough anymore but it used to be different back in 2000 when everyone with twins skied for fun and not their ego.

i get tired of saying..."hi!.....i suck by the way"

Jeepers Creepers, where'd you get the neat sneakers?!?!

I'm pretty shy, and I don't talk much. If I crash hard, it kinda breaks the ice... no pun intended.

i am usually to high to understand what people are saying. just kidding all the people at my local mountians are chill but sometime they have ear phones in and cant hear. Except this one time I crashed in the pipe and snapped my collar bone and I laid there for alittle bit and this guy started telling at me to move and I wanted to kick his ass but I had a broken collar bone so I just laid there.

because now skiing isnt about skiing.......its about the fucken $$$$$

My time is winding down.............just wait for it

yeah people are always pretty cool where I ski. There's been a few times when I'll start off skiing by myself in the morning, then meet some people in the park and ride with them the rest of the day.

A bad day skiing is better than a great day doing anything else

try not to get too offended when someone else doesn't respond to your "hi". most likely that person is listening to music and simply can't hear you. i can barely hear anyone say anything to me when i'm listening to my music. but most people around my mountain seem pretty cool when i can hear them.

I've had similar experiences up at Hood here and there. There's always somebody that seems to be dangling a towel or a comp bib from their pants that thinks they're better than the rest. Fuck em'.

I'll tell you where...someplace warm...a place where the beer flows like wine...where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of capastrano...I'm talkin' about a little place called Asssspennnnn...

In the US I only went in one park when I was at Alpine Meadows a couple of years ago. I was 15, never been in a park before and just wanted to try the jumps cos I've just been ski-ing mountains my whole life...

Neway, it was intimidating as hell, didn't wanna say hi or nething cos there were guys there pulling huge inverts and thought they'd just look at me and tell me to f*ck off...

No one was speaking though, just a big group of boarders and skiers all waiting in silence...the answer is to ski with someone you know...

yeah i know what your sayin. everyone is just tyring to look and be better than everyone so i guess it dosnt leave time for any talk. people at my mtn are pretty chill though

we got a little bit of both at my mountain, its the kids that are riding twin tips because "everyone else is doin it" now that always tend to think they are the shit, the kids that ride twins because its fun, and when they started it wasnt the mainstream thing on snow (not that it is now but it sure has picked up) are the ones that will usualy offer you some tips and enjoy takin some runs with kids theyve just met cause its about havin fun
